I'm channeling my inner BB and going where most wouldn't think.

With this pick we've already shored up the Oline and DB positions in FA and earlier picks. So in the 3rd round, with the 76th pick, the NE Patriots select Tank Bigsby, RB, Auburn. 6-0, 213, Last season in 12 games he ran for 976 yds, 10 TDs, 1 fumble and 5.5 ypc. Kid also has decent hands out of the backfield. Could use some coaching up on his blocking if he wants to be a 3rd down back in the NFL.

Not a bruiser but a nice change of pace player. I think Harris will take more money and will be wearing a different jersey next season. Need someone who can give Stevenson a break.

Hopefully we get that 3rd round comp pick as well.

A different option and one I could live with but didn't we draft two RB last year, I think that may have been done in anticipation of Harris being gone? It will be interesting b/c Klemm from what I read does well with run game schemes and the Pats love a hands receiver.

We picked up JJ Taylor who maybe could slide in there but I think of him currently as a 3rd back in the pecking order.

Kevin Harris 6th rounder got injured so who knows what he can do?

They picked up Bowden off waivers I believe but he's more a gadget guy with time at RB, QB and WR.

We have Strong but he hasn't really done anything.

Just zigging along with BB while everyone else zags.

This is where I’m at as well unless the Pats have already deemed last years selections as busts. Only way I see them taking a RB is if it’s a situation where a guy they have really high value on is available at a much lower spot than anticipated.

They were not used a lot last year but that's not a surprise in light of what the offenseive scheme was last year

Interesting pick but there are a bunch of 3rd round RB's that could be had - some as late as the 5th.
This draft is ripe with RB's. Would not be shocked that BB drafts a RB. I would be shocked if he does it in the 3rd.....

If I'm taking a 3rd round back, I'm choosing
Kenny McIntosh, RB, Georgia
Height: 6-1. Weight: 220.
Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
Projected Round (2023): 2-3

Tank reminds me of Maroney
- you may remember him.....
Maroney hasn?t really corrected the issues that have haunted him since he entered the NFL. He has happy feet in the backfield, doesn?t hit the hole with conviction, sometimes tries to dance too much and avoids contact.

I am consistently finding that the draft board gurus have not yet done their homework. An example is Tank is not even in the top 20 RB's on Walter Football board but is 6th RB on NFL Draftbuzz - where the give bj's to tank but end with:
Will dance and leave his feet instead of taking what's there. That's a big red flag!

Note: We won't be getting a 3rd round comp pick. Our comps are 4th 5th and 7th

If I understood NWPATSFAN...
If BB does not re-sign Harris we may get a third round comp pick for him...next year.

Maybe I am way off.
No, I am hoping we have two 3rd rounders this year. Was trying to help justify this pick by having an additional 3rd round pick in this years draft.
