This was a guy who had a ton of potential, IIRC had some early success with the Bengals, but then bought way too much into his own hype.

Nothing was ever his fault, and he never took any responsibility for not knowing plays, being out of position - it was always the team/coaches fault.
Not surprised to see that once the Bengals let him walk (thank goodness) he's continued to bounce around because he refuses to change his attitude.

I'm sure, to this very moment, he believes that he's a top CB in the game if only a team would just give him the "right" opportunity...
In what little interviews I saw when he was with the Steelers I could tell he had a pompous nature about him. Acted like a hot commodity in trade talks but "chose" to land in Pgh IIRC (liked Tomlin)...

Like chill out man, the best that was offered was a conditional 7th in 2025 for your bum ass. 2 years down the road lol. And you were about to be cut if no offers came in.

Reminds me of Le'Veon Bell during the end of his career

Well this certainly didn't work out, but at least they don't have to give up the conditional 7th or pay the man $12mil that he's due next year (if they cut him by Mar 19th).

I think he practiced, like, twice? since this trade. Landed on IR after his 1st practice lol.

I remember the in-fighting beteween the Bengals and Steelers over this dude after the draft. Ironically I never saw the difference between him and Artie Burns. From the moment he stepped on the field, I was like this dude sucks.

Very similar players to be honest. Both found decent levels of success as rookies but quickly faceplanted when given a bigger role in year 2.

Someone check on Eric Weddle - he can't be doing too well right now.

Lmao the refs tried so badly this game. The booth had to step in on that obvious Mixon TD too. Even the refs didn't had an answer on this annihilation.
The NFL doesn't know what a catch is - and at what point is the WR "allowed" to no longer have the ball? He got 2 feet in, a knee was down, he was out of bounds, and it wasn't until after all of that the guy hit the ball out...at some point...the play is dead.

TD catches need to be a bit more like TD runs....a runner crosses the plan, and it's a TD. For a receive, he needs to catch the ball, have possession, with 2 feet in bounds...at THAT point, he has established possession and broke the plane - TD. I get the rule being a bit different in the field of play where you can still advance the ball. In the endzone, there is no advancement, or fumble, opportunity - so, IMO, the play should end as soon as the former instance occurs.
