Yea

You're either pushing for a title or rebuilding. Worrying about 2 first rounders 5 plus years down the road is odd for a squad built around 2 superstars.

It doesn't appear to be about the draft picks...it looks like it's about cap space for the off-season. If memory serves, every trade they've looked at so far has at least 1 player in it who has a contract that extends beyond this year. With the cap space they will have, they could possibly add 2-3 shooters in the off-season.

Personally, I would go ahead with the Turner/Hield trade because I think Hield is a guy they would possibly pursue in the off-season anyway and Turner is good insurance if AD has to miss a lot of time and also would allow AD to play the 4 more which he prefers.

The only reason I can think of to not do it would be if there is a FA that they would prefer over Hield that they think they can get.

Also, based on what has been reported out here, they think that teams will start looking to tank for VW and will start looking to move players earlier than they normally would. That could provide them with a couple of shooters with contracts that expire this year, preserving cap space for the off-season.

Just really weird stuff. As fan as Jaylen Brown. Don't know much about him so he could be into that stuff. But at first he didn't distance himself from Kayne & Donda sports. It took him a day or two. Not the best of looks.

And now he’s trying to back peddle and say it’s “for the kids”

He’s a weirdo

The only player you’re signing who is better than turner would be kyrie

If you wanna throw away a season to hope kyrie takes less money from you….

Whew

I’m glad I’m not Pelinka

The easy way to get both would be to get someone like sa to take hield for jrich and ideally throw some 2s in there as comp

That way you could have cap space, even if costs you both turner and jrich

Turner is a guy they can go after in the off-season.

He would definitely help, but they really need shooters if they want to do something this season.

I don't mind being patient to see what happens when teams start "selling". It's an 82 game season, so it's not like there isn't plenty of time. But if that's truly the plan, they have to make sure they're ready to move right away. Wait too long and they could end up missing out.

They'd still have their cap space for next season, but they'd be punting this one.

My list of superstars:

Giannis
Jokic
Luka
Ja
Embiid
Curry
KD
Lebron
Kawhi (when he plays which is rare these days)

Guys that are fringe imo are Lillard, Trae and Tatum.
I think the high-level star players category is definitely tricky but it seems to be a lot of players…rising stars, a lot of them. The league is so deep

Yeah.

If you aren’t going to trade those picks for help…

Then the only other reasonable solution is to trade AD and LeBron.
Lebron signed an extension and can’t be traded.

Davis can. But, won’t….not this year.

Plus, they want Lebron to break that record in purple and gold.

There is a school attached to this fuckery.

They can’t transfer out because the season hasn’t been canceled.

They can’t play because they were booted from most tournaments because of Kanye.

Apparently, a few kids have real talent and are now fucked.

Let them see these guys for what they are, life lesson. Sucks for them though.

Hopefully those kids can go to another academy. Heard the other day one of kids from that donda is heading to Kentucky.

I'm not entirely devastated if this season leads to a top 3 pick. But it would definitely mean Casey needs to be unemployed
Yep a shot at Henderson or even Victor and then Casey is gone. Adding a top talent to the roster would be huge
