2022 Realistic Expectations

No Sir. This team looks putrid. They are still my boys! 45 plus years of being a Patriots fan. There is no elite talent on this team. Some good to very good. But not a single top 10 player at any position except team MVP Folk. The coaching staff is in disarray. I think we are going to see some bad football for awhile. Hope I'm wrong.....

I hope you're wrong too. It lends credence to the naysayers who claim it was all Brady which seems impossible no matter how good he was.

We've been through a lot of coaches who all had success in NE. Hard to believe this new crop is suddenly garbage across the board.

We did have Pioli and then Caserio. I now wonder how much they mattered.

This team may reek of mediocrity, but putrid seems a bit harsh.

Hmmm, Rex was hired by his dad after their 2nd season together the entire coaching staff was fired.
He then went on and had a bunch of college coaching positions until Bill Bellick hired him to his 2nd NFL gig. Spent 10 years working for him in many different positions.

Rob who I personally think is worthless and a slob. Same thing hired by dad fired two years later. Lots of college assignments. He was hired by BB then bounced around the league.

Stephen Belicheck hired by dad. No college expirence, no other NFL expirence yet keeps getting promotions.

Brian Belichick hired by dad to be an asst scout for one year. Moved up to asst coach. Now in Stephen's old spot as safties coach. No college expirence, no other NFL expirence yet keeps getting promotions.

Sorry not even close to the same petigree.

I guess I read the chart wrong. Chances are it will take him more than 52 reg season games to get the 39 wins. In the end everyone know BB is the better coach. And yeah no way he would have wasted a talent like Marino

BB has been a head coach for 26 years. (14, 16 and 17 games a year. Has never coached without free agency)

Free agency has been the biggest killer of modern coaches because they can't do two things. 1. Stop exceptional players from leaving a team 2. Can't always afford to buy an exceptional player.

Even if he didn't catch Shula, He's done a hell of a lot more with a hell of a different league.

Never said it was their sole fault but what have BBs sons done since arriving? Do you not think there are better proven D coaches out there that could help this team?

I suggested that Rex and Rob got their start through their dad, As well they should have.
Bill's dad had a long successful career, Bill's daughter coaches lacrosse, may be they will be good coaches too.
I don't see Bill as a mollycoddle type of father. If their not cutting it, I trust Bill will steer them out.
