There's a correlation here with teams utilizing this scheme resulting in a sizable increase of TDs from their primary RBs. Of course that remains to be seen with our boyz. Year after year our offense seems to defy the laws of physics.

In RPO a majority of your run blocking is zone. The problem is they ran a lot of inside zone and that requires big, physical bodies that hit the point of attack and are aggressive. The Bears leaned towards softer, lighter, athletic linemen and it failed a lot. James Daniels was a great example. He's a good interior lineman. He struggled at times at inside zone because he's not the most physical guy around. He's athletic and needs to be on the move.

I've watched some youtube break down on what was going on with the Offense in GB under (somewhat) Getsy and what it should look like here in Chicago. I can honestly say, it looks like a system that should work. If it doesn't then you can start looking at the players individually as to why, because well, it works in GB.

As things have developed during this offseason (hirings, draft, signings & cuts) I've been going more and more with the belief that the Bears will be better than last year, altho their record might not reflect it. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me at all if we end up with fewer wins. I know that sounds like a contradiction in terms, but my take is we'll be more competitive in a number of games in which we end up losing. Mainly this belief lies in the differences between Poles/Eberflus vs Pace/Nagy. Our newest hires are showing signs of building a real foundation, whereas the latter seemed to just shoot from the hip in attempting to make the team better. I think it will take time, but not as long as some folks think, for this team to head in a positive direction.

Every system will work when your QB is Rodgers though. I get what you're saying but talent is what makes offenses work. Scheme isn't meaningless but even Nagy's ridiculously awful scheme would work if you had Rodgers under center and Tyreek Hill at WR and a good offensive line.

The Bears scheme will work if Fields progresses in it and plays well and the other 10 guys around him do their jobs.
