It also means players passing on easy layups for a 30ft jumper far too often, not to mention players pounding out the shot clock without moving the ball to take a step back 3. Plusses and minuses.
Not the Warriors. They play the best brand of basketball today

I don’t know why you guys are so concerned with who coaches the Lakers. They gambled and got their bubble title but with the Westbrook move, it’s over now. LeBron is on the back end and Brow can’t stay healthy. You’re kicking the can down the road for the next generation of Laker basketball post LeBron. So why does the head coach matter in that spot when you’re just playing out the string?
Lakers don't kick the can down the road. They fully expect to be back in the mix for the title next season, whether that is realistic or not. If the Lakers had been in the mix this year, Lebron is a much more prominent MVP candidate; expecting him to suddenly crumble is like betting against Tom Brady at this point. Davis is due for a somewhat healthy season (I hope).

Doc has spent a good portion of his career blasting the Lakers; he has no place in this franchise.

Hopefully they have learned their lesson about listening to Lebron.

Why? If they had listened to him about coaches before, they would have Ty Lue. Besides, it's not like Ham is a bad candidate. He's not a retread and has been projected more and more as a head coaching prospect.

I would take either he or Ham over Stotts. No more old guard coaches that aren't up to date with modern basketball.
Stotts is the best coach in that group and it’s not really close.

It will probably be Darvin Ham. He applied for the Washington job last year when they had Westbrook. And if he proves to be untradeable...

Stotts would seem to be the one best equipped to get the most out of Russ…but is that what they should be worried about at this point

Well, that is crappy basketball too.

That isn’t what pace and space is about.

Have we learned nothing from the RW fiasco? LeBron and AD wanted him too....
I hear ya but it usually doesn’t work out when LeBron wants another coach than the coach he has. Ty Lue the first time would be the exception.

LeBron is only under contract for 1 more season.

He'll play regardless who the coach is. He ain't calling the shots.

I agree. Atkinson seems like a good fit for a young upcoming team as it was in Brooklyn before kyrie and kd signed
