Pincus came up with possible routes....




According to Pincus, there are a few ways for the Lakers to acquire LaVine from the Bulls. However, each route is “very difficult.”

“Los Angeles would need to trade Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn (expected to opt in at $5.3 million) and Westbrook without bringing back salary. Subsequently, assuming LaVine would take a sizable discount to fit into space the Lakers aren’t likely to have is nonsense,” Pincus wrote. “The only real solution would be a sign-and-trade, which presents different issues, most notably an approximate $155.7 million hard spending limit for the 2022-23 season. With just James, Davis and LaVine under contract, the Lakers would only have $36.6 million to flesh out the remainder of the roster. Keeping Westbrook and his $47.1 million is a non-starter.

“Even if Chicago were open to a one-to-one swap of LaVine for (Russell) Westbrook (unlikely), the math wouldn’t work. With LaVine getting a significant raise, his outgoing trade value to the Bulls would be his 2021-22 salary of $19.5 million—$18.1 million short in contracts to match for Westbrook.”

Eta: Nope.....can't include other players, only picks.

Hell, if I'm the Lakers, I'd give Vucevic a look since Lavine isn't likely to happen. Career 35% from 3, AD can play the 4 full time and Vuc might be good insurance against AD's inevitable injuries.

They'd still need to need to shore up the perimeter, but they'd be better than with Westbrook. Would still likely have to find a 3rd team for Westbrook unless the Bulls just decide to burn it down.

Nah. I’ve had months to prepare myself. Draymond is a great defender and would have been 1st team if healthy. NBA media hates Embiid. It is what it is. If Embiid wants more he has to get out of the 2nd round.

Too many really good defenders.

Embiid is not making all defense over Gobert and Bam. And they aren’t going to do the same dance to place 2 centers on the all defense team when there are so many other deserving players like Draymond to place there.

Everyone on that list is highly deserving

But they did to put Robert Williams III on the 2nd team with Bam. He’s a Celtic. The Ringer is Bill Simmons baby and that outlet alone has multiple votes of automatons who do want Simmons says. Not sure why this no talent ass clown is given the deference he is given by others in NBA media but it is what it is. Watch…later today All NBA will be announced and Tatum will have Embiid’s spot on 1st team.
