In what alternate universe would he be the alpha on a team with Lebron James and AD?
Some of these youngins be wilding.

Jeremy Grant allegedly didn't want to come to the Lakers for a similar reason.

But, I don't think that's Lavine's issue.

He's in the Devin Booker category.

Had great stats on a shit team that didn't sniff the playoffs until the savvy vet came onboard.

Vet immediately gets the credit for the resurgence.

Difference being Booker embraced it and sounds like Lavine resents it.

Also..... He wanted his bread last year and they balked at his asking price.

Now the rabbit has the gun.

Season is almost over.

Writers need clicks.

The rumor is the Lakers, Hawks, Dallas, Blazers are hot for him.

I actually love this kind of shit because some gullible fan bases actually believe the fairytale and are then devastated when it doesn't actually happen.... Lol

Like, if you are going to lose Lavine, would it be better to sign and trade him for Westbrook or for the #7 pick?

How about Brunson?

Hmmmm, there's also John Collims.

The only straitforward way he gets to the Lakers is if he comes for the midlevel.

He's not doing that.

He wants a max.

So, Chicago would need to cooperate via sign and trade.

Again: Of the 4 options, why in GAWDS name would they want Westbrook?

He has to want to go to that team

Absolutely.

Chicago also has to want what's being offered in return.

What does Westbrook offer?

Salary cap relief?

They'd get that by simply letting Lavine walk.

I'm not sure a 2029 draft pick changes that.

They’d need to figure out what to do with Vuc as well

He’s a year from fa and 33

Their gamble didn’t work.

I'd be down with either....but I do prefer Brunson fwiw.
Plus it depends on what/who we'd have to give up in return.
That said.....the 11th pick isn't all too bad, when looking back at who's been taken there.

I wouldn't want him since I don't see how he fits with James and AD.

An athletic young wing who can shoot 39% from 3 seems like a good start for a fit with Lebron and AD.

Lonzo is broken all the time.

Demar is older.

Vuc is good, not great.

Zach is in his feelings about Demar getting so much credit and Chicago didn't, and probably still doesn't, want to give him a max.

If they continue to hold that stance, I think he leaves.

But , with a lingering knee issue, it will be to the highest bidder.

I'd go for Collins if I'm the Bulls.

Or, see if I can get that Portland pick.

If he's bitching about DeRozan....you think he will be the #3 option behind James and AD?
No.

You have nothing to offer Chicago outside of Davis.

So, wouldn't be a issue.

Davis has his warts.

But, there is no way I'd do that deal, if I'm the Lakers.

If you tried to float Westbrook, I'd hang the fuck up if I'm Chicago.

Ps. Are we sure that jealousy rumor is even true?

Lavine probably ends up in Portland to be honest.

He'd work well with Dame.

James and AD carry a good bit more star power than DeRozan. I think he'd be smart enough to know his place in that level of company.
