Good list, not so up on Faalele. though. And don't want the light ILB's like Dean.

Booth, Jones, Pickens, Brisker, Moore, Pitre, Leal, Muma, Metchie, Watson, Chenal, Mathis, Raimann, Petit-Frere, Shakir...

Most of them will be gone though. Maybe we'll finally see a QB run.

I think it will be a WR unless there's another run. Of those I like Watson, Pierce, and Pickens the most. I think they will all be gone though.

WR is the biggest need right now. Hope one they really like is still available. Supposedly really high on Skyy Moore.

But DL is just as important. And DB isn't far behind.

DL feels like the OL a few years ago when they needed to address it but waited too long and it fell apart.

Its funny that a criticism of pickett was his avg time to throw. It was absurdly high. PFF is using this metric alot.

IIRC PFF has also continuously stated, that Picketts huge jumps this season , especially in their “grading” were in his ability to process what the defense was giving him, and nail the short and intermediate throws, timing stuff.

Correct me if im wrong.

But you cant have it both ways.

No, I think it's pretty clear he has a very pro-ready process for the field, and throwing motion. Good accuracy and touch.

The knocks on him are his hand size (not too far different from Burrow or even Mahomes), arm strength, and age.
Questions on him also focus on his performance against higher LOC teams.

If he's going to succeed, they need to place more weapons around him. Gotta find a WR or two this year.

And next year, Ja'Maar Chase this motherfucker some Jordan Addison.

If I was any team that really wanted one of these QB's I would wait. None, except maybe Willis would be worth a second round pick.

Pickens…
For this year, yeah. Him or Watson, or Moore or Metchie

Double dip and Danny Gray Khalil Shakir or Josh Johnson later, too.

I still target Addison next year.

Pickett’s “avg time to throw” is an issue? Never heard that. Is that just during the throwing motion? ie Mechanics? That is very coachable. Or from snap to throw? Snap to throw has everything to do with Whipple’s offense (which is going to be a lot like Canada’s collegiate offaense) & Pickett’s ability to extend plays on the boots/run. That concern would play into his fumbling issues.

The age concern has merit. But I don’t like that people are saying he has to start this year because of that. “QBs rarely improve from ages 24 to 25.. blah blah blah”. That’s such a skewed outlook given the average shelf life for QBs. The vast majority come into the league younger, so applying that against KP just doesn’t work. The thought SHOULD be how QBs improve from year 1 to year 2. All rookies will experience a struggle to transition to the pro level, regardless of age. Seeing how QBs are playing well into their late 30’s, that simply puts KP’s “career window” into a smaller vice than others. But does that really matter in this age of pass-centric offenses that declare a QB prospect DOA after just 3 years? If KP flames out at age 28, that’s the same damn thing if a younger guy flames out at 25. There’s no convincing me otherwise.

Dean or Booth should be long gone. Trade up is the only chance Steelers have of drafting 1. Unless there’s some awesome gas-mask level red flag out there.

I’m thinkin WR, DL or OL.

I think if Moore is there he's the pick. Kind of hoping it's DL though. Stoping the run would be awesome.

I think they are both equally important and I really can't decide between them. BPA then.

WR's were decimated and we have little experience behind the starters.

DL is alarmingly old and unreliable health-wise. We saw the problem with stopping the run with Alualu and Tuitt out all last year and relying on backups. If those two play and can stay healthy, we could be good. But relying on that is a problem.

Not having more than 2 proven WR's is a glaring problem.

If Tuitt comes back and the line stays healthy I think they will be very good. I just don't want to count on that. And even outside of that, you have to plan for the future. The case against WR is the depth of this class and how well they draft the position later in the draft.

I'm always for BPA. 100% of the time.
