Guess who fired all those coordinators...yep you guessed it Flo. He subsequently was canned because of it plus all the players he ran out of town. He had his good points but unfortunately too much bad.

That's what happens when you hire from the Bill Belichick tree.

Same thing. Time after time after time. Virtually every one of his tree has cratered the franchise they have went into. The worst is obviously O'Brian. But everyone of them from Crennel to Patricia, to Mangini to Schwartz to now Flores and Judge (to now probably McDaniels...again) has hurt the franchises way more than a typical coaching hire ever will.

The only one to survive the curse so far is Vrabel. And that might only be because he never actually coached under Belichick.

Damn! Rebuilding is expensive!

Howard is so good the Dolphins re-worked his deal with four years remaining and three years remaining, which appears to be unprecedented in league history.
Howard will get the most guaranteed money ever for a cornerback. And he'll make the most cash over the next three years of every corner in the NFL.
It's the most fully guaranteed money in NFL history for a cornerback.

Still have the worst O-line in NFL. Spent a fortune on a lineman who only plays 8 games a year.

I wouldn't see a huge problem with this except that these guys are going to make Tua look better than he is and they're going to pay Tua top 10 QB money and theyll regret it.

"Nate Davis of USA Today Sports seems to believe that these changes are not enough to move them out of the bottom five teams in the AFC and the bottom half of the NFL. In fact, in his latest power rankings, he has the Dolphins at No. 21, moving up just one spot from just after the Super Bowl."

I don't think anyone is ever going to pay Tagovailoa top 10 NFL QB money.

Yeah, I think its much more likely they are going to get rid of Tua after next season and draft his replacement with all of the 2023 picks they are hoarding.

But that roster is built to make a QB look pretty good

Yep, but "pretty good" just won't cut it, imo. The only way he silences the critics is with a monster year. I have trouble believing that will happen. I think he is on his way to either the first round bust pile or future journeyman backup like Mariota.

Imo, he has to notably outperform Mac Jones. That, in theory, should be a very real rivalry. Patriots traded for Dolphins WR discards. Dolphins spent 2 1sts on Waddle and a whole horde of picks on Tyreek Hill. Hill has never missed the playoffs. If Tua cant get Hill the ball then there will be memes.

You would think that it would be pretty easy for Tua to make some big jumps this offseason just from the absolute fear that the Phin's WR's are going to put into defenses.

There is no other team in the league with the type of deep speed this team has right now. And it really isnt all that close. Between Hill and Waddle on the outside and Gesicki down the middle, defenses are going to be terrified of getting beat deep against this team. Should really open up the short passing game that Tue is good at. He just has to complete a couple of those deep throws and all of a sudden the only defense he will have to face is cover 4.

The only downfall is that Miami still is unlikely to have much of a running game.

There usually is a "make or break year" for a young QB. I dont think we have ever seen one as obvious as this coming season is for Tua. Anything short of top 14 QB in the league at the end of the year is going to see him replaced next offseason with the way they have stacked talent around him.

I don't know how much better they will be with that offensive line.
If they "replace Tua and have traded all their draft picks, the rebuilding process will have to drag on.
Fins have a tougher schedule this year than last. I have them improving with the same record. - 9-8
They have moved up the way too early power rankings from 22nd to 21st.

Their OL will improve by leaps and bounds with Armstead.

You can have one bad OT in this league. You cant have 2. There just isnt enough places to help from with 2 bad OT's. And now Miami has one of the best in the league (when healthy of course). That will solidify that spot and also GREATLY improve the play of the OT opposite of him.

They arent going to be the 90's Cowboys or the 80's Skins by any stretch of the imagination, but they should at least be somewhat functional.

And getting a new offensive system will help them too. It is a pretty big joke that Flores, a defensive coach, thought that 2 unqualified coaches together would equal one qualified offensive coordinator last year. Their offense was a joke last year from the limited time I saw it. They spent the whole time running nothing but RPO's. You cant build a system off that anymore. Its not 2018.

Personally I think if the Phin's stay healthy, they make the playoffs and are the 2nd best team in the division. Sorry but I dont see the Pat's having a good season coming up.

Armstead should have a good 10th season this year, in the 8 games he averages playing for his career.
Don't worry, last years O-line failures will fill in for him.
Note that Armstead won't be covering Tua's blind side.
He should make running game a little better.
Guarding his blind side will it be Adam Pankey with 1 career start or Greg Little with 3?
Hunt was their best tackle as a rookie last year and now moving back to right guard.

All 4 AFCE teams have a tough schedule this year. My too early prediction is for Miami to finish 9-8. You are welcome to post your own.

The Q is what if Tua actually balls out now that he has better protection and offensive coaching now? Could it happen sure. If he does should the Fins still discard him because people believe he's actually garbage when he played with garbage his first two years? Will be an interesting story.

So it's guaranteed that Armstead will get hurt and play only 8 games gotcha.

If Armstead gives Tua anymore time no matter what side of the line isn't that a good thing?

The run game will take some pressure off any QB no?

You pick two of the least favorites to play RT do you have a set of crystal balls or something? Favorite right now is either Eich, AJ or if both fail Hunt. Any of them would be better than last years option but the oline is worse off?

Hunt wasn't a rookie last year first year he played RT and probably should have played that last year but they like him at RG. He will most likely stay at RG.

What have the pasties done to improve? Most believe the Fins have done more and now have another year of experience under their belts which can be huge for a very young team. You may be eating a lot of crow next season.

I never said that. I said Miami has improved.
I just don't see it being enough to take you as far as you think.

I hope you realize that when you post about Patsies or cheatriots you make yourself look like a bitter, foolish loser?

Steven Ross had other ideas.

There have been rumors that Brady was actually close to coming back and joining the Miami Dolphins, where he’d have teamed up with Sean Payton, who also retired this offseason after almost two decades coaching the New Orleans Saints.

That might sound farfetched, but Pro Football Talk, Ben Volin of the Boston Globe and others have since reported on the alleged details of the plan. Also, Colin Cowherd is buying that Brady almost wound up wearing aqua.

“You can put the things together now. We know it to be true,” Cowherd said. “It’s that Brady had a deal to go to the Miami Dolphins, like a Derek Jeter to the Marlins, be an owner, be a quarterback for a year, Sean Payton comes over…It was all in the works, then the [Brian Flores] lawsuit.
Not a
shock, the Dolphins screwed it up.”

From the Flores lawsuit:

This goes to show how dysfunctional the Dolphins are at the moment. Not only did they create such a toxic environment that they made Flores sue both the club and the league in a class-action suit, but their grand plan to replace him was to convince a 45-year-old quarterback and a guy who had coached for 15 straight years to unretire.

"David Hyde of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel confirmed that Brady was frustrated with how Arians prepared for games each week. He did things a bit differently than Brady was usually accustomed to in New England.

“Brady, as in New England, showed up each Tuesday morning with a game plan for the following Sunday, a source said,” Hyde wrote. “He expected coaches to do the same. Arians, busy with other work, wasn’t ready at that early point in a workweek to complete a full game plan. It became representative of small-ish but significant problems between them.”
