Kareem, Michael and Jordan never went around looking and creating their own team.

Kareem and Michael Jordan never had that option. It was a different league with different rules regarding player movement.

As great as it sounds when the old dudes say "I would never do that, I was trying to beat those guys". Something tells me that if they could have gotten say...8-10 rings instead of 5 or 6 by having 2 or 3 of them playing together...most would choose to team up.

Sorry dude, but Kareem was flat out better then LeBron ever was in my book. The numbers don't always tell the entire story.

You are entitled to your opinion.

However, you said the reason was because LeBron didn’t have the sky hook.

That is extremely foolish.

That was an example of one of his many talents....And thank you for giving me the right to have my own opinion

Nevertheless everything combined is circumstances that affected the outcome - I agree that Lebron is most likely in the top five - but I don't think he is better than what Kareem was. That's just the way it is

Nothing wrong with that. Imo, it's something of a pointless comparison with them anyway since they are completely different players playing positions requiring different skills.

The Bible says that the race is not always to the swiftist and battle doesn't always belong to the strongest, but time and chance happens to everyone.. Thousands of examples can be given from history. Look at what Texas when they broke off from Mexico and became an independent Nation. They won a war where they clearly were out numbered and most likely were lucky as hell. One 3 point shot by Robert Horry and Sacramento would have won it all and to this day when I talk to people in Sacramento, they are still bitching about that.. lmao

Championships

Russell -
Michael Jordan
Kobe Bryant
Tim Duncan
Magic Johnson
Kareem Abdul Jabaar
Lebron James

Disclaimer - this doesn't necessarily make some of these guys better then LeBron - but I really liked Tim Duncan's game better than Kobe's or LeBron - his leadership kept them dominant and the titles is what most people will remember ten years from now - the stats will fade from memory

Those are the 3 that the GOAT convo seems to settle on and you can make a strong case for any of them in any order.

If titles are the only way to rank players then...

Jason 'white chocolate' Williams (1 ring) > Stockton (no rings)

Brendan Hayward (1 ring) > Ewing ( no rings)

Robert Horry (7 rings) > Dr. J (1 ring)

Adam Morrison (1 ring) > Vince Carter (no rings)

Five sites have LeBron ranked ahead of KAJ. Are you suggesting your biased opinion, being a Lakers fan & LeBron hater, is more legit than those site?

Good deal. What part of Cali do you live in?

Anywhere near Orange County? Only ask because when I lived in the Vegas area it seems like every person I met from Cali was from there. Is that county big?

Only place in Cali I've been is Death Valley. Not sure that really counts as visiting the state though.

Death Valley is a beautiful place to visit at the right time of the year and is worthy of a one day visit. Sequoia National Forest, Yosemite,, the coast line,, Muir Woods, Avenue of the Giants and Redwood National Park are far prettier. One of sisters suggested to my other sister and I that we should spend two weeks in Death Valley - I don't what the hell she was smoking - but that's not happening. We are going to be in Utah and due a place called Natural Bridges, possibly walk to the bottom of Bryce Canyon, and some time in Canyonlands and Arches National Park, then we will finish in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone

I've wanted to visit Sequoia & Yosemite for years. And Redwoods sounds awesome. Someday I hope to make it all those places.

I thought Death Valley was very interesting, but didn't get see everything I wanted. Wanna go back and see Scotty's Castle & Artist Pallet. Going up to Zambriskie Point overlooking the salt flats was pretty cool.

When I went to the S rim of Grand Canyon I took a train from Williams to the park. It was a great ride. Saw a bobcat while I was there. It appeared outta nowhere. I tried to get my camera out to take a picture. But before I could turn it on the bobcat jumped over a cliff.
