Me too Rambunctious. I am taking the OBJ signing with a modicum of caution because Beckham has a long history of doing NOTHING BUT stupid shit and wearing-out his welcome. When he proves he wants to be a part of the winning culture of the Rams, all of us will know it. If he doesn't, the players, coaches, and the fans will also know that and he'll be shown the door just like DeSean Jackson and others like Marcus Peters.

He is only gonna be there for this season, Retro....not like he'll be there long term.

He is going to play well (maybe not great with all the talent at WR they have) enough to get a big deal from some team needing help at WR.

Most likely the Saints (since Thomas could be out of NO) or the Raiders.

The question that begs to be asked is why did not McVay run more 4 WR sets when he had Jackson with all that speed and even Atwell for the matter? The Answer: 10-to-1, the players had already discovered that those two receivers just were not going to fit into the Rams winning culture and maybe McVay was accommodating that collective conclusion in a more deliberate fashion as to not disrupt what the players had concluded. They probably gave Atwell a pass because he was a rook. But in the convo with Stafford, he gave clues and direct info relating about the winning culture and the locker room family that is these McVay Rams and how that dictates behavior for the players.

Yea, the injury bug has decimated the Receiving Corp both WRs and TEs. Now that OBJ signing is very timely and it changes everything from a number of perspectives. OBJ gets what he wants and it supports the notion, that OBJ becomes one of the major contributors, the Rams are more than willing to give him an extension. We shall have to wait and see how things develop.

Now the Rams may go poach Breshad Perriman from the Bucs PS and Trishtan Jackson from the Vikings PS to cover yet another WR loss.

I now have my doubts about that DJ. If things go as everyone is expecting, OBJ's likelihood of now getting a contract extension has increased with Woods' injury. Interestingly, OBJ's contract is heavily laden with team incentives. The base is around 1.5 mill but can be as high as 3.8 mill if OBJ takes the bait and becomes one of the valued members of the Rams winning culture.
