And not sure who said WR in the main NFL draft thread but why WR? When you have Kupp and Nacua.

Maybe it was @shopson67....

I never stated I wanted big players and old school for ALL players. I always prefer the bigger, nastier players in positions where bigness and nastiness ARE required in that particular context. How many times have we witnessed too small or smallish Rams players getting manhandled along the O-line say in the redzone and our D-line, LBs, and Secondary? Anybody? On offense, nearly every week when we have to settle for FGs instead of scoring the TD.

Where do you want these guys to play? A LT prospect sure, but guards and centers will be depth at best on this team right now. Day 3 for that.
Once again you missed the context which you do often when responding to me. I said earlier that these picks coming were DEVELOPMENTAL or BACKUP. How many developmental players or back-ups have we held onto for four-five years only to cut them eventually. How long have we held onto A.J Arcuri?

Ideally, you want quality back-ups who can eventually step in and play when starters get injured, are sent out-the-door, or retire. Puni and Zinter were two immediate examples but the Rams aren't interested in getting back-up O-line talent this year (obviously and maybe in Day 3 selections, but then you are getting A.J. Arcuri types). Oh I forgot, we have A.J Arcuri and Logan Bruss!! lol.

There ya go, @Retroram52....

:heh:
I think it might have been you DJ that has often told me that ya really can't judge a given draft in practically any sport until 2-5 years down the road unless you have a superstar talent who can start right away coming in. I know Vitamike and SJ76 have often mentioned that to me and many other analysts say that as well.

I'll lose the moniker of McVay and Snead when they stop consistently doing obvious stupid shit like... ...and the list is a mile long, especially when they have done it before many times!

Concerning Payton Wilson, the Clemson LB everybody wanted to take but his medical history was counterintuitive and prohibitive for a lot of teams. He has had 11 known surgeries. He has no ACL in one of his knees that has been operated on three times. Granted, the kid is a medical marvel but how long before he has a career-ending injury? The odds are not favoring him. Sure, the Stillers took a risk and he may pan-out for a season or two but... ...when!

The draft starts at 9:00am PST, 12:00 noon on the East Coast. Here are a few suggestions for Day 3. We pick late in the 5th Round and we miss the entire 4th Round because Snead didn't get a Pick unless he does something to day. We already gave-up a 5th for Fiske, so we have Number 154 in the 5th left. Trotter is still out there and so is Wingo.

WR Troy Franklin to the Broncos. Broncos traded-up to take Franklin.

The only team prominently exhibiting the BPA strategy is the Redskins.
