I really hate situations like this. A stud RB is hard to sit, especially since the options owners have on the bench are such a drop off in expected performance as a rule. A big reason I avoided him in redrafts. I own him in 2 dynasty leagues and the chooses are Sermon, Murray, Ronnie Anderson and Marvin Jones, Deedo, Waddle, Reagor and some other ugly choices. Ugggg
Yeah pisses me off.

So it's either risk Barkley OR Gaskin or Bell for the other RB slot.

I think I am going to play Gaskin to be safe and if I hear news Sunday morning then I will replace him with Saquon. Gotta go with the safe move on Week 1

On the flip side I own Booker in my auction league and put him on the trade block. Maybe I can get a interesting offer for him.

Being a big Jacobs owner across multiple leagues,, I owned/own Booker in a lot, and I couldn't give him away to a Barkley owner. Not earlier in the preseason, not after they cut Alf, not even now when he's iffy for week one. Outright dropped him for L. Bell in D2 when Shady, the Barkley owner, choose to keep Darius Guice over trading a 4th for Booker.

Yeah he's not exactly sought after, but if someone is in a pinch this week for a RB maybe I get a nibble. The Barkley owner for example has Barkley, Ty'Son Williams, Sony Michel and Jamaal Williams. He might nibble. I have Swift in that league so I'll swap for Jamaal if he shows interest. Likely not going to happen though.

I really don't think any of Bell, Freeman, or Murray (if he ever signs), or anyone else, will have any problems running through the gaping holes left in the line as everyone chases Lamar.

I think all of them looked like complete shit on their previous teams so I'm not sure what the point is on bringing in three guys that all look washed up. Murray looked completely like his career was over in the pre-season, Bell looked like his career was over two years ago, and Freeman couldn't beat out Wayne Gallman in New York last year. Maybe their plan is to just have Jackson run 25 times per game until they break him too. And it's not like having to catch the ball matters either since they never throw to their running backs. It really just seems like they were trying to put a band aid on it. I still think there's a good possibility that after they settle a little and come to their senses that they trade for an actual running back that might help them.

But in time for this week? Probably not. Is yours for a RB or flex starting spot?

Well I don't expect much for Booker, if I can even trade him. He's on my bench and if he starts for the Giants.......who knows, always a few desperate owners out there.

Maybe some Gus owners looking for a quick fix this week.

Ah… Latavius Murray - that glorious game in his rookie year where out of nowhere he ran four times and got over a hundred yards and two TDs. I started him that week in one league! Made me feel smart until I lost anyway.

I would have said the same a few years ago. Popped my calf a couple years ago and you literally can barely walk, much less run, with that injury… Don’t know the grade of the strain of course, but 3-5 weeks tells me he tore it nice and good.
