I had Gus in one of my money leagues. Sucks but luckily I have Mike Davis as my RB2...weakens my depth though

Ravens signed RB Devonta Freeman to their practice squad.

Normally practice squad additions aren't all that notable. But in this case, with Adam Schefter reporting that the idea is that Freeman will be promoted to the active roster, and with the Ravens running back room in ashes, this qualifies as a fantasy red alert. What it doesn't do is provide a lot of long-term clarity on how a committee would work with Ty'Son Williams and Le'Veon Bell, though Williams' status as the lone back who worked with them all offseason will probably help a bit for his Week 1 odds. Any back the Ravens give carries to is worth serious consideration in all leagues.

Giovani Bernard (ankle) is active for Week 1 against the Cowboys.

Bernard was removed from the Bucs' final injury report ahead of Thursday night's opener. Bernard appears to have Tampa's third downs all to himself after Ronald Jones and Leonard Fournette both flopped in the role last season. He certainly needs to be rostered across the board in PPR leagues. Inactive for the Bucs are WR Jaelon Darden, QB Kyle Trask, RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn, S Jordan Whitehead, S Chris Cooper, OG Nick Leverett and DL Khalil Davis.

Hope he doesn't pop off tonight. Just dropped him.

Brought in kerryon johnson too… and he was on the sidelines
Whatever is Jacobs issue, they're either keeping an extremely tight lid on it or it's no big deal.

To me, when all you've got is Jacobs, Drake, and 2 place holders, I don't blame them for bringing in Kerryon. He proved he's no stud, but he brings more to the table than their other 2 guys, regardless of Jacobs toe

If he does, it'll be Ronnie next week, and Fournette after that, and round and round they'll go.

Given the weak points of the Dallas defense, Brady and the outside receivers are the safe plays.. Dallas does have an extremely good set of cover LB's to contend with the RB's and TE's.
But they are soft up the middle so if I were betting, Fournette is the most likely RB to have a good day.
But how often do paper match-ups play out the way they're supposed to?

I’m interested to see how this affects BAL and Lamar who is a run heavy offense. Bell and Freeman are not able to be bell cows. Does it force Lamar to use his legs more and most importantly his arm more. The rookie Bateman is on IR as well

There's no way the Ravens adjust what they do. They may have to rotate even more than they used to. But don't forget they still have the rookie they love who, as of Gus's IR placement, will be the #1, so mixing and matching him, Bell, Freeman, maybe even one other guy yet to be named, Cannon...they'll still run the ball. And because of Lamar and the RPO game, they'll all have some success.
