if some of those top RBs dont make it back to your first rd pick, you'd be able to pair Adams and Ridley for your starting WR combo in PPR...sign me up all day and take whatever RB comes back to you in the 2nd at 2.3.

you could even bail on RB altogether and nab Kittle or Waller at 2.3 after Ridley...I know a lot of people would scoff at that idea, but that'd be a badass core to build around rest of draft
Been toying with the idea of passing on RBs with that 1st turn and either going with 2 WRs if I can pull them out of Ridley, DK, or Jefferson. Not sure if I can put ARob in that group yet. That or one of them and Waller or Kittle. Just not sure if I like my starting RBs being guys like Damien Harris (who I like, but I think his ADP goes up by draft time), Michael Carter, Zack Moss or someone on that tier. I would load up and have about 5 of those guys, but it would basically leave my depth kinda weak at WR.

think you could pull 2 of Gaskins, Davis, Henderson, Harris, Hunt in the 4th/5th?

I could live with that to start the season if I had elite options elsewhere

less exciting options like Gus Edwards, AJ Dillon, whichever TB RB you prefer, etc if you go the route of stockpiling middling RB talents to play matchups with

I am missing my 4th round pick, so if I ignore RB on the 1/2 turn, I can grab one of those guys in the 3rd, then have to wait until the 5/6 turn to see what is left.

forgot about missing the 4th, that makes things a lot more difficult to ignore RB with your 1st 2 picks.
not an exciting position to be in.

I think you've already got the right approach, even if its a bit conservative - that grouping of RBs you are targeting should all be in line for lots of touches, so if you can get 1 at 1.10, there will be some nice WR talent still on the board at 2.3

Our keeper deadline is tonight and the people who can't make our meeting have to turn them in early. Dude just texted me and wants to keep Justin Tucker. He is dropping Julio Jones.

So, draft is tomorrow. Seems like there has been a little shuffling with the RB situation. James Robinson gets a bit of a bump into the conversation for one of my picks at either 1.10 or 2.3. Darrell Henderson maybe drops down a little, but not much. Probably in the conversation at 3.10, if he is there. Here are the top available after keepers to refresh your memories...

Ekeler
Jonathan Taylor
Tyreek Hill
Gibson
CEH
Najee
Swift
Carson
Montgomery
Dobbins
Ridley
James Robinson
Miles Sanders
Gaskin
Waller
Kittle
Justin Jefferson
DK
Henderson
Hunt
Mike Davis
ARob

Not necessarily in my order of preference.

Draft was last night. I was thinking about giving updates, but there was a lot going on and I didn't really have time to. Here is how it ended up, though...

QB - Mahomes - K
RB - C. Edwards-Helaire - 1.10
RB - J. Dobbins - 2.3
WR - D. Adams - K
WR - C Godwin - 3.10
flex - C Sutton - 5.10
TE - I. Smith - 15.10
K - R. Succup - 19.10
P - J. Fox - 17.10
DL - J. Watt - 13.7
DL - D. Lawrence - 13.10
LB - D. White - K
LB - D. Jones - 11.10
LB - K. Murray - 14.3
DB - M. Fitzpatrick - 11.7
DB - H. Smith - 12.3

Bench

WR - T. Boyd - 6.3
RB - L. Fournette - 7.4
WR - DJ Chark - 7.10
RB - Z. Moss - 9.10
RB - G. Edwards - 10.3
TE - E. Engram - 16.3
WR - M. Gallup - 18.3

At 1.10, there were a lot of names I was looking at. Picked CEH over Carson, Monty, Dobbins, Swift and the 2 TEs (Waller and Kittle). At 2.3, that group had cleared up and I was between Dobbins, Waller and James Robinson.

Overall, I am happy with my WRs, but I would like more RB depth. I'm not bare, by any means, but I would like to be stronger. TEs went quickly after the Waller and Kittle were off the board. I decided to wait on that and take 2. Happy with Engram and Smith, considering where I got them. I feel ok about this team, but I think I have some work to do during the season.

how do you score punters?

I was gonna suggest to grab Darrell Williams with Clyde’s ankle a little iffy… but looks like your bench is short and I don’t see room.

1/30 for yardage
2 points for punts inside the 20

Plus, they can get rushing or passing yards and TDs on a fake, but the above is the bulk of it.

I was thinking about Williams. I grabbed Gallup late over him and Gio Bernard (who I really like with Brady). Probably didn't need Gallup as much, but thought he had the higher ceiling.

Hit up the guy who drafted Kittle and Logan Thomas and ask what he wanted for Thomas. He asked me what I wanted for Adams and offered Kittle and Amari cooper. I told him I don't know that I would want Kittle in a deal for Adams, but I like his RBs (cook, Mixon and Gibson). I will post his roster later tonight when I get a chance. I doubt he puts Cook in a deal and he will probably want Dobbins or CEH back in a deal for any of his RBs. Something like Adams, CEH and Irv Smith for Thomas, Mixon and Cooper or Lamb, maybe? Not sure I love that.

not sure I trust Kittle either… Mixon or Cooper either for that matter.

I’d probably go with an attempt at Cook, Thomas and whatever WR, for that Adams, Clyde, Smith package. Otherwise, I’d hold Adams.

I personally would have picked Dobbins over CEH but you got him both and you probably made the right move to go after CEH bc he seems to get more love imo. Nice work. Like you said, RB depth is the only issue I see but not too bad honestly

Man... I was looking forward to seeing what Dobbins could do this season.

I actually just traded for him in my home keeper. (Keep six… “first six rounds”)

I traded Golladay, 2.1 and 4.7… for Dobbins, an 11th and 12th rounds.

I’m happy.
