Ryan Leaf, Heath Shuler, JaMarcus Russel, Dwayne Haskins, Josh Rosen are just a few of the first round qb's that were given up by their original teams based on a faulty evaluation of their talent level.

In fact, there was a tweet floating around from "Field Yates" that stated that every single quarterback drafted in the first round from 2009-2016 - all 22 of them - were not on the team that drafted them.

Minshew on the 1-15 Jags outplayed Darnold. So did Mike Glennon - a career backup.

According the website Stymie found, listed above, Darnold rated worse than pretty much every other possibly available qb this offseason:
Garropolo, Cam Newton, Wentz, Trubisky, Bridgewater, and even Alex Smith. Gardner Minshew rated better than he did.

Backups Taysom Hill and Andy Dalton rated better than Darnold. So did Fitzmagic.

It's clear, especially after looking at Stymie's qb comparison, that you don't know what you are talking about.

Even when you use real stats Darnold comes in dead last in QB Rating. It is hard to believe that is all coaching and sub par players around him.

I’m hearing fitzmagic talk of being the redskins qb next year. I wouldn’t mind if he was brought in to compete with Allen and heiny. Fitz is one of my most favorite dudes in the nfl. I’d like to have a beer or few with that cat.

Who is better on our roster? Forget the draft . The top 5 most likely will be gone. Sure TM looks promising and im glad we got him but why isnt Darnold not being considered? He can be a franchise QB. whats wrong with Darnold Tm, and Allen as our QB's? I think a 2nd or 3rd round pick is worth the risk to take on Darnold if we hit we have a franchise QB. IF we miss we still have TM and Allen to fall back on and only game up a 2nd or third round pick. No brainer. Its worth the risk

How is giving up a 2nd or 3rd a desperation trade when its for a possible franchise QB? This is not the Rg3 trade here cmon now. Did you really expect him to win with the Jets? So you are willing to give up a 3rd but if we have to outbid another team with a 2nd you squash the deal? lol. I think its a necessary risk to trade a 2nd or 3rd for him. You don't know how TH will turn out and I think we will miss on the top 5 Qb's in the draft. Plus you have Allen coming back and we dont know if he is the franchise QB.

Reports have shown that we are interested. Im sure other teams are too.
