Kia/Hyundai have come along way in terms of reliability and build quality.

The Arteon/Stinger here in US are both sportback sedans. The base stinger and arteon have very similar engines, stinger has a larger engine option Arteon does not.
A long way from excrement to rolling pile of garbage I agree.

And we were specifically talking about the wagon, but even if you choose to compare the Atreon Sedan to the Stinger it's not Apples for Apples. More Apples to Kiwis

disagree, Arteon and Stinger are direct competitors here in states

I mean, they're in same price range, same body style. You're kidding yourself if people don't cross shop them

Go look at reliability ratings, Kia/Hyundai are climbing and offer some of the best warranties. I'm not going to lose sleep if you won't buy kia/hyundai, but they've poached engineers from luxury brands and have solid product.

I wish VW would bring Arteon type R to the states, I would consider it. Here in US it would probably just eat into their Audi sales however. VW also makes a nice truck I'd consider if it were stateside, but tariffs don't make that reasonable

Konis and 235s as well

Plus Subframe connectors, SS brake lines, Cobra 2 piston brakes, beefy sway bars, SS exhaust plus the hi-flow y pipe, under drive pulleys.

Had it 20 years.

Germans only now. Infinitely superior. I snack on pony cars...
Yes, I wanted to do all of that to mine but was putting the wife through college.

I like my Subaru Forester, it's been reliable over the past 5+ years and it's a comfortable size. I've learned over the years that they tend to consume a lot of oil though. I like the all-wheel drive and larger windows.

So I pulled the trigger. Subaru was offering 0% interest for 63 months, I contacted my credit unit who uses TRUECAR and purchased me a 2021 Subaru Outback XT Limited addition. Got a decent enough trade in to pay off the wife's civic so I am still at one car payment. Ends up we put nothing down as I said paid off the wife's car, purchased a Thule and some other items for the car paid off an old credit card with the rest and pocketed about $2.5k.

Car rides amazingly well better than I had though it would, the turbo is peppy enough but I am casual driver so I really didn't bother to push it. Seats are easily more comfortable than the Avalon had and ride is softer and quieter. At 57 years of age some of the tech is escaping me but they scheduled me a class one on one with some tech chick that is gonna spend 2 hours with the wife and I going over all the features.

If you need the room a mini-van might be needed. But anything up around here needs to be able to move through snow.
Yep Odyssey was high on the list ole lady like the RU
