total rebounds isnt a great stat because it doesnt take into account pace.

rebound differential is prob. better- and the third worst team is at -3.7 per game. The 2 worst teams in the league are the worst by a mile.

Warriors are at -5.2

only team worse is the rebuilding Thunder at -5.3.

their rebounding is just beyond bad--- which makes sense considering Wiseman is a rook, Draymond has lot a couple steps and Paschall and Looney are your bench bigs.

You don't understand certain teams, and the Ws are one of them.

The craziest stat i came across for this Heat season is that Bam, Goran, and Jimmy only played a total of 28 minutes together this season.

i understand that last time they were good they were #8 in the league in rebound differential. The previous year #11. The previous year #9

last year 27

this year 29.

easily a bottom 10 front court.

He is the best NBA player ever at his age probably...as usual the only competition is MJ (was KAJ this good at age 36?)
mj was retired at 36 so I guess KAJ but even he was starting to decline a bit

was just looking at Klay's game totals throughout his career.

his rookie season he played in 66 games and started 29.

After that he started every game

all 82
81
77
80
78
73
78

put on top of that all those playoff games.

its entirely possible Klay Thompson played more games than anyone in NBA history over a 7 year stretch (in fact its fairly likely) considering the expanded playoffs and their deep runs. Maybe Kobe gives him a run for his money.

not surprising that he started having major lower half of his body injuries.

kind of reminds me of Grady Sizemore

you would think this would be obvious to most.

It is obvious to everyone.

You are the one who made the homerific suggestion of Garland + a lightly protected first + salary filler.

Garland is a pretty nice asset and young

id def. rather have him than Haichimura. Avidja- well see, but id lean Garland at this point.

Maybe.

But not Beal.

That is the point. Your suggestion isn’t nearly enough.

If you were talking Garland for Haichimura this post might actually have some relevance.

what single asset do you think will be available that is better than Garland in the NBA? Maybe Herro, or Barrett depending on what you think of him

Depends on who the trade partner is obviously. But it doesn’t have to be a single asset.

Garland doesn’t land you Beal and you know it. Your suggestion was total garbage.

Remember the Draymond hate earlier this season?

6 points, 8 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals and a +30.
He’s shooting 34% and 22% from 3. The 7 assists and 5 rebounds doesn’t mean much. He is still averaging 2.5 TO’s a game with a career low in minutes. The dude is below average, take his contract into the equation and he blows dick for coke

Draymond could at leasr give them 10-12 ppg. That isn't asking for much from a guy who abv double figures most of his career

I mean, he isn’t wrong.

But how ironic is it that Kendrick Perkins is saying this?

Well he is most certainly better at making random common sense observations than he was at being a player.

The season isn't over and it isn't coincidence they have won 10 of their last 17 games.

He is crucial to their offense.

A lot of those strawmen were constructed by Wiggy. Don't know many who thought the Heat couldn't improve, or the Ws "couldn't possibly" get KD. But your point is fair, we can't be sure of what deals will happen, that part of what makes the NBA fun, big names move around a lot every year, way more than the other sports.

Yeah and that's really my point. I'd put the Lakers chances of getting Beal at about 10% and that's being a homer. The real chance is a bit lower. But I just think we've all seen too much happen that wouldn't/couldn't/shouldn't to make definitive statements.

I agree. The NBA off-season is arguably the most fun of any major sport. College football signing days are about the only one that comes close, imo.
