The only reason I can think of (and it's not a good reason) would be if they wanted to tank, but give the impression that they are trying to be competitive.

But they need to get some future assets.

That proposed Laker package has none.

I find it funny that people still make statements like this despite all of the things that "couldn't happen" that have happened anyway.

Remember when Lebron was never returning to Cleveland?

Remember when the Warriors couldn't possibly get KD?

Remember when Lebron was never going to go to the Lakers? Or when he went, but only because he didn't care about winning titles anymore?

Remember when Miami was years away from being able to improve their team in any significant way?

Remember when Lakers fans were told there was no way the Lakers could get AD because too many teams could out bid them?

I don't think anyone thought the Clippers were a threat to get Kawhi, let alone Kawhi and PG both...until they did.

Do I think the Lakers are likely to do everything that makes sense to try to get him? Yes.

Do I think they are likely to get him? No.

I don't think they can, but with all that we've seen...I'm not ruling anything out.

However, I'm not holding my breath either. lol

In fairness, that was Wiggy that said most of those things.

Not even close.

Drummond isn’t an asset the Wizards would want. If they are trading Beal, they are tanking.

Cleveland isn’t getting Beal without trading Sexton +. Garland isn’t going to do it.

deummond is only an asset to match salary or offset a long term deal that wash would want to dump. Not even sure who that would be at this point

Thanks.

*Looks at thunder's e-wad*

Means a lot.
Nah not really. They may rebound tonight but they didn’t play well at all last night.

Sexton is untouchable. They could trade a package revolving around Garland but they have to match salaries in some way. If it was a combo of Garland, Okoro, Nance and picks I would say hell no honestly.

And that is what it would take for Cleveland to get Beal.

Not going to happen.

yah- def not worth it

Beale has 1 year left on his deal after this year. They wont get any kind of crazy ridiculous package.

They could make a deal and get picks like the NEts gave up- far into the future from a team that is likely to be pretty good and not much else.

I wouldnt give up more than Garland, and what will be a lotto pick in this upcoming loaded draft- and the big expiring.

If I am Golden State- i dont know if id even give up the Twolves pick.
