I was the biggest MJ fanboy there ever was. I started watching basketball because of Jordan. I followed the Bulls closely. First on the Sports page as a young kid, then by watching all their games on WGN when I was old to stay up.

As a teen, I planned my work schedule around Bulls playoff games. I have my favorite teams today to be sure, but I will never be as emotionally invested in a team as I was the Jordan Bulls.

I say all this to provide some background.

I believe it is a dead even tie between MJ and LeBron. Both achieved things the other didn’t. Both are alone at the top of the NBA’s Mount Rushmore.

It is okay to come down on 1 side or the other of the debate. But people who say it isn’t close are deluding themselves.
Too many MJ fans disagree....when it's like you said. Dead even tie. I can see that right now, but not either side saying 1 is so much better than the other.

Cowherd said that he's heard from multiple sources that Lebron loves him some Bradley Beal and wants him on the Lakers.

I don't know how they afford to get him though. I know that last off-season they apparently had cleared enough cap space to add a 3rd max level guy...but I don't know if they can do it this off-season.

If they could, they'd rival the best "Big 3's" in history.
I’m sure he does love Beal but what would it realistically take to get Beal?

Beal is around $29M and the Lakers don’t have to many assets but they do have 1st’s still. They could just give them a couple players and pull out a PG or Harden type of deal with a ton of picks...still don’t see it but...

Beal

For

Kuz, KCP, 22 1st, 23 1st swap, 24 or 25 1st, 26 or 27 1st, 28 swap

And other teams would still be able to offer more. Unless they really love Schroder and they throw him in with KCP and Kuz as well.

Not buying it. The Heat alone have more assets to throw to WAS

Kuz and KCP doesn't work.....Kuz' extension doesn't kick in till next season.

It would have to be KCP and Schroder plus the draft picks.

Either way it’s not very enticing for WAS, especially considering after Lebron leaves Beal + AD will still be a playoff team at worst and those draft picks will be worthless late round 1st’s

I doubt they trade him to another team in the EC, especially when it could come back to haunt them.
Good point but either way, there are a handful of teams that can offer more. Shit the Cavs would have a ton to offer

what about the Cavs trading for Beal?

trade Garland, a lightly protected first rounder for next season and Drummond?

Let’s just let Lebron and Durant pick teams like the all star game and call it a title I guess.

Whats up witu AD still knicked up?

Bruised quad. I'm guessing that him sitting out is more about it being a back to back than something he can't play through. If this were an important game for playoff positioning or a playoff game, he's likely playing.

Unless the Wizards just want to move him as quickly as possible and will take a lesser deal or Beal wants to "poison the well" (which doesn't seem like his style), I doubt the Lakers have the assets for a trade. My guess is that they would have to try to clear the cap space and try to sign him as an FA in the off-season.

I wouldn’t be against it and I think Sexton and Beal would be fine together...as much as I love Garland. That would be intriguing and give them a little more size in the backcourt

Stop it man.

Why would the Wizards want any of those players?

The only reason I can think of (and it's not a good reason) would be if they wanted to tank, but give the impression that they are trying to be competitive.
