Yeah you think it would average out a bit maybe like 38% but I don’t know...it just seems like another transition to his game. Taking more 3’s making them...then maybe in 2-3 years he will be playing in the post a lot more. He has the plan all figured out already, 3 steps ahead of anyone. Makes you think though, we don’t know when his big decline will happen or if it even will be a big decline bc of his transitioning but I thini he could legimately be a very very good player at 40-41.
Say he plays to this level at 37 and 38. Then transitions again to more post up game, 39 and 40. Who knows what to expect, he could play for 22 seasons.
Moves to the post as he gets older? I'd think he'd spend even more time on the perimeter to eliminate contact and possible injuries from banging down low.....mastering the 3 ball means he could put up 9-10 a game and pass to guys cutting to the basket for easy buckets.....

That has more to do with Curry playing at an elite level and Wiggins playing great bball. He is playing like he is getting $8M/year. There is no way you can spin this

Hurtful but true. To be honest there have been games where Draymond this season has been worth every penny of his contract. Then there are other games where he's completely out of it. I'm not sure how much of it has to do with him having Covid prior to the season. I know that for sure it killed him in that Nuggets game in Denver early on in the season. You could see he was just laboring.

The encouraging part to me is that he seems more willing to at least try to score. Before he was just always passive. He's at least shooting the ball which shows that he knows he has to do more for this team. Just not sure if he can.

lol

In 2-3 years, he'll transition from the best pg in the game to the best stretch 4.

was just looking at Klay's game totals throughout his career.

his rookie season he played in 66 games and started 29.

After that he started every game

all 82
81
77
80
78
73
78

put on top of that all those playoff games.

its entirely possible Klay Thompson played more games than anyone in NBA history over a 7 year stretch (in fact its fairly likely) considering the expanded playoffs and their deep runs. Maybe Kobe gives him a run for his money.

not surprising that he started having major lower half of his body injuries.

kind of reminds me of Grady Sizemore

The achillies is kind of a freak injury thing. And his ACL tear was definitely not because of any durability issues.

If he continued to get spasms or pulls, or tweaks then possibly that could be because of his workload. I mean in addition to that 7 year stretch, the way he plays has him running all over the court. So I would venture he might have even covered the most distance of any NBA player in that stretch as well.

His game won't be affected.....he's a shooter.....not a high flying dunker.

OR then in 4-5 years he will lead the league in rebounds and his go-to move will be a baby hook. Nothing will surprise me Lol

Should go full Magic and just play PG and post up non stop surrounded by shooters.

When LeBron's 40 he'll lead the league in FT%. Rick Barry's gonna give him some pointers.

Depends on who the trade partner is obviously. But it doesn’t have to be a single asset.

Garland doesn’t land you Beal and you know it. Your suggestion was total garbage.
Yet you didn't give a name of an actual player or an asset you thought could be moved in such a deal that's a better option than Garland that is somewhat realistic. Guess maybe the Twolve pick if GS not so confident Klay can come back healthy and come close to old form.

and I suspect like you they'd be tanking if they unload Beal, but not crazy they'd want Drummond.

Happen to agree with Sushi that NO might be an interesting team to get involved.

That is an understatement, he isn’t playing up to the worth of half his contract. He needs greats around him to play well but now we see his defense dropping off too. That contract is looking awful, I’m sure he will improve when Klay comes back but his offense has disappeared
This is just not true, he is very important to the offense and leads the team in assists

He's overpaid, so what?

Remains to be seen how his defense will be affected but I'm not worried

I mean even Kobe at 36 was a shell and only played 35 games. What Lebron is doing is making me think he is an alien

That achilles injury changed everything. Lebron has been able to avoid major injury so far. I still think he would be smart to get leaner and more flexible, lose some of that bulk.

I see him as similar to TT. He's not really worth the overpay to any team other than the Warriors. But like TT with the Cavs, he important for what they do.

mj was retired at 36 so I guess KAJ but even he was starting to decline a bit

KAJ in 1983: 21.8 ppg on 58.8% and 15.5 att/g in 32 min, 7.5 reb, 2.5 ast, 0.8 stl, 2.2 blk
Lebron: 25.5 ppg on 49.6% and 18.8 att/g in 33 min, 7.8 reb, 7.5 ast, 0.4 stl, 0.9 blk

Pretty comparable, really.

A lot of quiet from the Lakers folks on this one

OMG!! THE LAKERS ARE A DISASTER!! HOW COULD THEY LET THIS HAPPEN? Obviously Lebron has declined significantly, AD is broken and all of their role players should be in the G-League. Time to blow it up and rebuild.

That better? :D
