When did I say we would or wouldn’t resign him?

I was commenting on your statement of Scherff’s ability.

According to the AP, Scherff was in fact the best RG in football. He has also been a 4 time PB in his 6 year career. These are known as facts.

Pro bowls means shit. Evan Ingram went to the pro bowl . lol

Define adequate.

It is a lot of money to tie up in a G, but isn’t the purpose of having players is to sign and keep the best team we can? If we sign him for five years, three years from now, is it still a lot to pay for a G?

We know what we have in Scherff. We have a possible HOF player.

#71 is adequate.

Unfortunately, we didn't keep Williams around, also a future HOF and would be a member of our Ring of Fame had things not ended the way they did. Wouldn't surprise me if Williams came back either. Not the point though, we keep the potential HOF peices (if they are not old) that still play at All Pro level because honestly, they cannot be replaced or duplicated often.

Was Wes Schweitzer adequate before the season? He ended up adequate.

Who is the other guard then? How do you know he will be adequate?

What positions are we happy with simply adequate...not good? Don’t you want good players...not simply adequate?

I meant Sweitizer. Lucas did a good job at LT. We gave up alot of sacks b/c haskins and Smith couldn't move.

You can stick in Charles or maybe they draft another one. With the savings in money it could add 2 or 3 good players. Lets wee what Mayhew is going to do.

Evan did not go to three of them. He also isn’t first team AP.

My point being is the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest. Im not doubting Scherffs talent, but if he wants to be the highest paid OG in the league and we dont pay it, I would be fine with it.

Can you stick Charles in there? What makes you believe this collegiate OT, who has played like one series in the NFL, can move to guard and be healthy?

So you draft another one. What makes you believe he will be good? I have shown you the success rates of second round picks and lower.

Really? You believe we can add 2-3 GOOD players with 15 million? Name them. If they are good, they will want market value.

I am not a big proponent of PBs either. I am a big fan of AP. I can also tell since being drafted, Scherff has always been a top three G.

Scherff should be the highest paid G in football.

The last sentence is great. Had you simply stated that, instead of the other shit, nobody would have said anything.

We did last year with our FA class. Its possible. Looks at what Thomas and JD did for this offense on below average deals. Already mentioned Lucas and Schweitzer. Look at Darby. It can be done.

he is not the best OG in the league. Sorry. Just my opinion I guess.

You're not alone. I don't think he is either and the Pro Bowl is a joke. That said they shouldn't let Scherff walk, he's the Skins best interior offensive lineman.

Yet you bitched about Thomas and Darby.

You bitched about Lucas and Schweitzer.

JD did well.

None of these guys were brought here and were expected to be good. You said we can sign three good players. Wes Martin started the first three games and Christian started the first eight. Hell, there are some that still think Thomas is a backup.

I dont remember bitching about Darby. Thomas for the first part of the year wasnt doing much. Were you the one that said JD wouldn't make the team? lol

Let’s see...the opinion of a random person...or the AP award for best RG in football? That is a tough one.
Actually if you're going by AP. Scherff is the 2nd best OG in football with 23.5 votes. The Colts Quenton Nelson was voted the best with 24 votes. That's still non-poop worthy though.
