Notre Dame has been ETERNALLY DAMNED for it's part in the downfall of the United States.

Well, UMn is a PUBLIC college, and it ranks quite highly among public institutions, unlike Notre Dame who ranks quite lowly among private institutions. UMn is bound by state and fed laws and guidelines, and the people who donate to the U of Mn, know this. Notre Dame donors? Don't you think they expect the Most Catholic University in America to act Catholic? Just curious. I mean, they have the right to do whatever the hell they want, but then I also have the right to criticize them for it.

He must like metrics that lean heavily on the quality of the graduate school like seen in big public universities. ND has its roots as a small private commuter college. They have sold out for the undergraduate programs and they don’t focus as intensely on their graduate level offerings, though those they offer are generally of sound quality. They just don’t have the fancy toys seen in the big public universities at the graduate level because they can’t live off of government issued grants the way public universities do.

I NEVER said I got an invite to West Point proper, the main school. If my perception is right, only 2 people from each state get direct invites to West Point. I did NOT get a recommendation from a US Senator, lol.

But how else do you get into West Point? Well, you can straight up apply, and the military services sends the top of the top to the Academy. They have to go through a one year program, called West Point Prep, only about 10% of people make it through West Point Prep. I'm not sure if outsiders who apply have to go through prep school or not? But their acceptance rate either way is only about 10%.
