Not a rumor but this was brought up on WEEI today... Maybe Wiggie...... Or CHristian.....

How can BB truly leave Newton in there if he wants to evaluate anyone other than Newton? I mean Newton can't get the ball to a WR or a TE so we can't see what these guys truly has or not. Dude couldn't even hit a guy 4 yards away from him (Asiasi I think). Complete waste keeping Newton out there

If the rumors are true about the Jets being willing to trade Darnold to the Patriots, would that be a solid move? Darnold hasn't had the best surrounding cast to play with and believe it or not, he's only 23 years old.

I think having two young QBs with a late draft pick all competing to play would be a huge benefit for the Patriots. having three kids all under contract and none of them making $25M is a plus in the pocket book. Darnold has two full years under his belt and is a dual threat to throw a 50 yard pass and to run for twenty.

I'm all for it.

At this point I have to agree, what have they got to loose.

I have liked some of what I have seen from him.
Unfortunately, he was thrown into hell at NY.
Good coaching would certainly help but is he now ruined and would be entering the fire in NE?

Odd isn't it? Chargers, Eagles, Texans, Jaguars, Lions, Jets all have openings for a Head Coach and not one has asked to speak to Josh, No one knows 100% why he walked away from the Colts, but he did have nearly two years with a very interfering GM in Denver. I'm really surprised that the Jags haven't at least spoken with him. The Jets would benefit more than anyone but they'll wait until the playoffs are over and then try to steal a Super Bowl OC.

Radio floating around an idea (just radio talk, no sources or anything)

Patriots give a 1st and 4th round pick for Jordan Love. Thoughts?

No.
Completely unproven. He was a 1st round pick less than a year ago.
We have an unproven Stiddy already, why would we give an extra 4th round pick to the Packers for there unproven QB?

Yeah I wouldn't do it either. If it was just a 4th rounder than of course...

WEEI (forgot who it was) was all over that and said they'd do it in a heart beat

The Packers put themselves in a spot because they have the MVP on his way to the Super Bowl. Rodgers ain't going anywhere. BB ain't stupid and he will not give the pack #15 plus for a dud. I could see him giving them a 3rd but only if he signs a veteran to come in guide both him and Stidham.

NBCSports Boston has started "leaking" players that the Patriots have supposedly been in contact with. Of course it all starts with Quarterbacks and Dsak Prescott immediately gets mentioned. Then they get whacky. Tyrod Taylor (32), Andy Dalton (34), RGIII (31), and Ryan Fitzpatrick (39) were all mentioned but most of the talk centered around Fitzpatrick. Then came the curve ball Jameis Winston who's only 27 years old and as far as the talking heads were concerned, never had a QB coach worth a spit.

Dak would cost a fortune and would be worth the money, Fitzpatrick made $5.5M and might sign quick for $12-$13M. I hope that they're just bullshitting about Taylor, Dalton and especially Winston.

Gee... You mean to tell me the Patriots aren't interested in everyone? Just like the Red Sox have "thought about this player and that player"

At the right price I'd give Dalton a shot. Not my first choice by any means but a clear choice over Cam.

I still stick with I think they may try and get Fitz regardless if they get a QB in the draft or not?

I know I am not a QB whisperer...but not a one of them interests me.

Dak and Fitz are a huge upgrade over Cam. I'd like to see what this offense could do with Fitzpatrick at the controls. I think they'd be right back at 10-6 worst case. Give him a couple if better targets and it would be much better.
