There are a dozen teams in the NFL that those stats would not break records, But these records have stood for a long time in Seattle so yes a good season for the Seahawks. Lets hope it can be a great season.
There isn't a dozen QBs with 4200 + yards.

There's only 4 QBs with 40 or more TDs

Only two other teams have 2 WRs with 1000+ yards each

Lock is in the top 20 receivers for catches and DK is in the top 5 for yards.

And no DB in NFL history had ever had 8.5 sacks in a season.

So no, there isn't a dozen other teams with these kind of stats this year. Or even most years for that matter.

i said there are over a dozen teams that those stats wouldn't break records not "would be ahead of seattle this season" how does one not make that connection other than not reading or understanding what i said lol.

For those wondering about Adams, here is what PC said.

"He hurt his shoulder," Carroll said. "He was just so disappointed, he was more dejected about the fact that he got banged up—I think it was on a pass rush—and we'll see what happens, see what that means for next week, I can't tell you. The early stuff from the trainers is that he'll play next week, but we'll have to see how he how he does get through the week."

Carroll said Adams' injury was to the opposite shoulder from the one he injured earlier this season.

and for Penny

Carroll also clarified that running back Rashaad Penny was OK, and that his on-field treatment from athletic trainers was just the result of cramps: "He cramped up, so he's fine."

Yeah once DK brought that up i went and looked up his catch totals and saw that was his 35th catch. I figured that had to be the reason because of the number of catches, nice call dkmightyhammer!

Good for the Seahawks in a year that revenue must have sucked with no fans in attendance.

Hope Adams is good to go next week but the offense has to find that next gear. Another performance from them and they may not make the second round.

In that case may I suggest your criteria for a "great season" is a tad high if your benchmark is that the weren't one of the best 12 teams all time.

The Hawks had a great season. Both record wise and stats wise. I don't know why we would want to try to diminish that by nitpicking and comparing what some other franchises might have accomplished in years past.

Fucking Penny.....softy.
Statistically it was a good season.

Wilson with 4200+yards and 40 TDs
Adams sets DB record for sacks
DK sets franchise record for yards
Lock sets franchise record for catches
2 WRs over 1000 yards.

Those are some impressive stats.
I could give a rats ass about stats....Beat the rams.

Not really because look how they played, the offense was lights out then went dead, the defense was dead then went lights out. Yeah the loss to the Giants kept them out of the #1 seed and Matching their best record of 13-3 ( done twice ). Like i said It was a good season, not great, now let's hope it turns out to be a great season.

Sorry but this team is struggling, let's hope they bring it next week because the Rams will be out for blood and i have no doubts they will be ready to destroy the Hawks unless we play lights out. Only good sign was the 4th Quarter the offense exploded for 20 points so maybe they found themselves again on that side of the ball because the defense of old seemed to show up there at the end.

Tough draw for next week though. Rams are always a tough out for this team and they are going to be out for blood after their last meeting.

Amazing how we can't have a healthy RB for most of the season... Makes you appreciate Marshawn even more... With his style of running, he rarely got hurt...
Ive advocated for drafting RBs every year and it always gets poo poo'd.

In what rounds? We do draft running backs every year
2015 we drafted 0, a few years we only spent a 7th. Rounds 2-7 should be a potential RB pick every year regardless of who is on the roster.

I will never want a 1st round pick spent on a RB, like penny.

It's the playoffs. All draws should be tough, but the Rams are the best possible scenario.

They're beat up in key positions. A dumb QB with a damaged throwing thumb, top 2 RBs with ankle issues, best WR coming off of Covid. Plus we just saw them when they should have been playing their A game and handled the matchup really well. If we couldn't get the bye, the Rams at home are the next best option. I want nothing to do with Kalil Mack or Brady with those receivers and that D.

Even though we got no help from Chicago or Carolina yesterday, I'm glad we woke up from the slumber with enough time left in the 4th qtr to pull out the W. Here's what I thought about the game:
  • Offensively, we are settled back in to being as risk averse as the game situation will allow until we realize how many possessions we have left that must each result in scores to win. It almost makes you want to not tune in until the 4th qtr starts. Russell is so good that it works most of the time against the league's lesser teams, but our season is doomed to end in NO or GB with this type of strategy.
  • PC's post game comments about Jama Adams made it sound like the injury isn't too bad, but Adams' body language on the sideline wasn't good. He looked like someone whose season was over or at least in serious doubt.
  • On that same note, I haven't heard anything about J Reed but sure hope he's ok for next week.
  • Jordyn Brooks is an animal. I know Cody Barton doesn't get much PT on D but seems to have 3 or 4 crushing tackles every game on coverage. I think the future of the LB position looks pretty solid.
  • It was good to see PC not waste any TOs on ridiculous challenges. Hopefully he's picked up a new habit.
  • Congrats to Jason Myers on a perfect season with FGs! Not sure I have ever seen that from one of our kickers before, and I've been watching this team religiously for nearly 40 years.
On to the playoffs. Been quite a while since we hosted a home game in the post-season (Detroit 4 years ago?), too bad we can't be there to see it.

Although I don't wish for our kicker to miss XP's, it's kind of God sent that he did... We were down by 4 when we scored the go ahead TD to Tyler Lockett... Imagine if we had been down by 3 (assuming Myer made that XP)? IMO, we would've gone into conservative mode, settling for a FG to tie the game...
