Good article as to how Trubisky and the offense as a whole have progressed since Lazor took the reins.

There's definitely a correlation between Lazor taking over and the O starting to play like a real NFL offense. Pretty obvious that Trubisky is much happier operating under Lazor's guidance and play calls, and I would say likewise for the OL. I suppose the real test will come on the last game of the season when we face the Pack. Not dismissing the Jaguars this week, but no way should we lose to a 1-13 team, one who's allowed the 3rd highest amount of points scored this year. Of course, tell that to the Rams.

If GB wins at home vs TEN and LAR beats Seattle (again) - GB clinches the NFC's #1 seed. Really wouldn't wind-up being much of a test.

The Jets did sort of screw us, though. Seeing as if the Rams lose to Seattle - they're locked into a wild card spot with nothing to play for in Week 17 vs Arizona. Where we very well may need them to win.

A perfect weekend for us would be:

SF beats Arizona
Bears beat Jacksonville (obviously)
Rams beat Seattle
GB beats Tennessee

Games are all at different times, too. So, you can watch them all, if you wish.

All four are very plausible outcomes. If they all worked out? We would be in a win-in situation going into Week 17, at home. Needing zero outside help. Versus Jordan Love and GB's backups.

Not only that? Even if we somehow fucked that up? In order for us not to get in? Arizona would still have to pull of an upset, on the road, versus the Rams who would be playing for the NFC West divisional crown.

Yeah, just about everything you stated above makes sense. The only X factor that we should always consider is it's the Bears vs the Packers, which always takes on a flavor of its own. I'm not sure the Pack, even if they clinch HFA by the final week, will completely rest Rodgers, altho I could see him only playing a half. If they do get the bye tho, they may not want him and the starting O sitting that long between games. Guess we'll have to see how it all plays out. Obviously it starts with us doing the Capt. Obvious by taking care of business this Sunday, then let the chips fall as they may.

Teams always opt to rest nowadays. There's just nothing to gain and when you have a future HOF vet QB? It's not like Rodgers is a young QB who needs the continued reps. At the very most, him and some key guys would play like a quarter (maybe into the 2nd?) and depart.

I don't disagree that this team could potentially find a way to screw up just about any game. It would be quite the upset, though. On the bright side, hard not to see everyone's head rolling after something like that. lol

And yeah... I have not counted the Jacksonville game as a win yet. It sort of freaks me out that some fans and analysts are. We've struggled against the run lately and the one thing Jacksonville has? Is a damn good running back. If our offense decides to come out flat? We could easily find ourselves in a 19-16 shithole of a game with Robinson having 150+ total yards, 2 TD's, etc.

Our recent winning and O looking better can be summed up to one thing: Poor competition.

How are the idiots this delusional

Then explain how the Jets beat the Rams, oh brilliant one. The old saying is a cliché, but it's still 100% applicable: on any given Sunday. I never take any game for granted.

I thought I read he (James Robinson) suffered a high ankle sprain last week?? Reports are holding out hope, but if it's high sprain, he is likely out.

Him and Doug Marrone already said that they expect him to play and that he's merely been held out due to maintenance/caution. They were down like 30+ when he limped off. It's worth monitoring, but he seems rather confident that he will be out there.

I follow his updates closely as he's on my fantasy team. Sucks the Jags play the Bears on title week AND I have CEH/Akers who are both hurt. I literally have to play him if he is healthy.

THU, DEC 24, 5:31 PMROTOWIRE.COM
Robinson (ankle) didn't practice Thursday.
Spin: Though he was rested at practice for the second day in a row, Robinson said Wednesday that he wants to and expects to play Sunday against the Bears, according to John Shipley of SI.com.

WED, DEC 23, 9:18 AMROTOWIRE.COM
Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said Robinson (ankle) will be rested in practice Wednesday, but the running back still expects to suit up Sunday against the Bears, John Shipley of SI.com reports.

The majority of it is due to this. No doubt.

5 games prior to 30+ point streak: vs LAR, NO, TEN, MIN, GB (4 of these 5 teams are legit contenders, could all be division champs, with strong defenses and will finish with double digit wins)

3 games of 30+ points: vs DET, HOU, MIN (All under .500, bottom ranking D's in every category, and a combined 15-27 record between them)

That being said. Our line was horrid against ANYBODY it faced previously. Being able to borderline dominate against, even bad teams, is a big improvement and also responsible for the uptick in production. So, while a good defense would still reveal our true colors? We wouldn't be QUITE as hopeless, I don't think.

So, yeah, I basically agree. Just a 1% area of disagreement.

It would take us getting into the playoffs and him winning at least a playoff game while looking good for me to open that door back up.

I would bring him back on a one year deal, and draft a QB early.

Ugh...This thread and its replies. We’re just so screwed at the qb position. Sigh. But it is kinda funny Mitch sly throwing Nagy under the bus.

From what I read there are 3 obvious QBs worth getting and they are all projected to get drafted in the first 10 picks. Too bad we keep winning. No shot at any of them. Hey but with all this winning we may be able to save Nagy's job! We're sure to win the superbowl next year now.

Why does it even matter to you?

If we won the Super Bowl, pretty much everyone on here beside you would be celebrating. Boozing, banging random broads (aka wives for some of us), running down the street naked screaming Bear Down....probably forgiving random aholes in our lives and rewriting them in their wills etc

And you would be on here (and God knows what other forums) calling everyone an idiot and bringing up some random dumb sh*t you were “right” about...

Deer hunting season in Wisconsin yet?

I prefer Lazor's play calling as well. Good for Mitch to realize it as well. Honestly, I do not miss the 250 Wr bubble screens per game.
