Fleury has a 10 team no trade list. Besides the Pens, I wonder which teams are on it?

The goalie carousel will be spinning extra hard this offseason.

I think MAF is on a steady enough decline that moving him in this environment is going to be nigh-on impossible unless the bottom-feeders with cap space AND money (he’s owed $6 mil next year) are interested so long as they get that Splenda on the side.

HOF GMJR is at it again.

Bjugstad for a conditional 7th round pick and he retains half his salary. :L

I'd have taken him for an unconditional fifth rounder and you only retain a quarter.

Uh, probably not the best choice here.

Missed your post BBB (as I just added one to the Ongoing thread), but yeah more bargain bin shopping by the Flames.

Yeah, given the number of talented guys out there it's really the only explanation.

Flames had way too much talent not doing a whole lot under his command, don't think running him back has much hope of changing that.

The Flames recently announced a 20% pay cut to all staff and support staff, so that probably weighed heavily on the decision.

As did many others (Leafs are the only Canadian team to not cut pay). I think it reinforces that we aren't getting a next season until fans are allowed back into the arenas because it's placing way too much undue stress on bottom lines that owners simply aren't willing to cover.

Agreed. And if the season has to wait until all 31 teams can host fans (or 30 if we can ignore the Blue Jays, errrr, wrong sport, nvm) then its gonna be a long wait.

I dont know if anyone is looking at PPV as an alternative revenue source to replace ticket sales, but I hope not. I want fans in the stands. For the noise, the atmosphere, but mostly for the ushers/vendors/other support people who are suffering.

I will not pay to watch hockey on TV (any sport really) because once they start that, it will never go away even when the fans return to the building. The idea has to fail.

And considering the Conference finals on Thursday night last week drew half the audience that women's tennis did:

NHL really shouldn't be thinking of making anyone pay to watch.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'm watching way more tennis (both men and women) than hockey these days. Maybe it's the teams that are left, maybe I'm just getting old and my tastes are changing, but I'm finding hockey pretty boring to watch lately.

I'm finding it hard to get enthused about sports events at this point. I welcomed the return but the no crowd thing is just weird to me now.
