If yinz consider it censorship to keep your racist, derogatory & belittling name-calling bottled up for the sake of keeping this board cleaner, then so be it. Shouldn't be that hard to censor it yourselves as I'm sure you all do in the general public. I'd bet my life's savings that OS wouldn't call Lamar 8-ball or Buckwheat in front of an African American person. Or anyone else on here against this sort of censorship wouldn't use any of the type of shit remarks they use around these boards in front of a person it might offend. Joking or not. This is a public forum, not a safe circle.

If you have a history of these remarks painting you in a bad light then mods should act accordingly. Feels to me that most against this type of Hoop censorship are simply pro-keyboard warriors & don't want to give up that false feeling of empowerment by hiding behind your keyboard.

I'll be honest - I had no idea that 8-ball was racist. Hell, it's not even listed as racist in Urban Dictionary. Had no one said a thing, I would have had no idea why OS called him 8-ball, but I would have never connected it to racism.
