Got to give the guy credit. The guy is a beast. All the stuff he had to go through and Goodell making up stories he comes out and puts on a show like that on Thursday night football. Props to Brady. Also Gronk might be best TE of all time when all is said and done.

ne d didn't look any better . i can't wait to see them cover johnson , ty , moncrief , dorsett , then bring out fleener and allen with gore running . bills have the best D in the afc east .

It's not like the steelers offense is bad. Ov got to assume a lot of the miscues are due to it being the first game.

Oh... And the headsets being rigged. :yahoo:

Only health would prevent it

No reason for him to score at least ONE, if not multiple TD's every single game

That usually happens when you try to get cute and pretend to be intelligent.

You truly are a football moron. Yards per attempt factors in YAC just like yards per completion.

I agree he isn't the same player, but DeAngelo Williams didn't all of a sudden become Walter Payton either. I thought the Pats should have kept him because to my outside opinion it seems you have stockpiled a bunch of penetrators, but are a little short on lunch pail types on the DL. I guess he wanted too much money for the role the Pats saw for him.
most of williams' damage was on the outside, no one set the edge to force him back inside. hes down 15 lbs, and looked like a new guy.

Memo to Defensive Coordinators

ANY, NO guys wearing numbers 50-59 should be covering Gronk

Someone I see that too often

I think DeAngelos' effectiveness prevented the Steelers from scoring 28+

I dont think Ben threw a first down pass until the game was decided

Haley became so predictable and boring inside the 20's once he got burned by the awful lateral pass to Antonio early

I don't know about that. He tore through holes right up the middle and then broke outside on the second level. They had a few delays where he just picked his hole untouched.

Me thinks NE's porous run defense will make a lot of RBs look like new guys. You better hope Brady has the best season of his career.

They'll shore it up a bit but yeah, you can run between the 20s on the Pats. Redzone tightens up though.

There's no disputing, Brady looked good. He picked them apart from the second quarter on. But man, how bad is that Steeler defense? I know there were question marks, but that was awful. its gonna be a long season for the steelers unless they fix that defense fast.

The good news is that the Steelers don't have to play Brady again this year and their division is loaded with shitty QB's.

Williams got most of his yards last night bouncing to the outside and beating the ends and LB's to the edge. Having Vince in the middle would have not affected much.

I also remember hearing that the Pats interior run defense (last season) was statistically awful.

A tiny slip that made me laugh but I haven't heard anyone talk about, was early in the game BillB was using his tablet on the sideline and Collinsworth I think it was made a comment about "And Bills on his iPad". That was followed by a few seconds of silence, which I can only assume was someone screaming in his ear that "we are sponsored by Surface Tablet you moron!". Shortly after that I noticed they had a sideline shot of the giant Microsoft Surface Tablet cart.

Silly little slip, but that the stuff that gets the big money sponsors livid.
