You do know the TE has been a main target in Philly for a good while now.You know Tight Ends are Tight Ends and Wide Receivers are Wide Receivers?

Where would we be without you to help us through the darkness...Oh no I understand. What you are apparently too stupid to understand however is that the Eagles had the worst wide receivers in the league last year and Wide Receivers are a different position than Tight Ends.

you just show yourself as being the biggest homer with little to no understanding of footballWell sometimes I just have to teach you kids.

you just described yourself.I'm only a homer to the truth and sometimes you people don't want to hear that truthful analysis because you all live in the bubbles of your own delusions.
Well sometimes I just have to teach you kids.
I'm not even an Eagles fan and I know TE is more important to Doug Pederson's offense to a 2nd or 3rd WR.Oh no I understand. You are the king homer in a sea of homers. You have shown ZERO objectivity, and your posts indicate that you know little about the game of football
LMFAO. You are one delusional moron.I know more about football than you hope to learn your entire life, as difficult as that seems to be for you thus far.

When all you have to go with your tight ends are WRs who can't catch, can't hold onto the ball after they caught the ball, can't get open deep and when they do get open deep they either can't catch the ball or even give themselves a chance to catch the ball due to their absolute inability to track the ball deep...then it limits the potential of your offense and passing game.
That's why the Eagles went full speed at WR this off season. It's going to be the TEs and RBs in short and intermediate with the top end speed littered throughout the receiving core forcing defenses' attention deep opening up all that field for the TEs and RBs.
In Pederson's four years in Philly a TE led the team in targets and receptions 3 times. In KC Pedersons offense used a lot of multiple TE sets. Facts are Pederson likes TE's and he uses them often, regardless of who the WR's are.
Learn your own team before you spout off on how much football you think you know.
When did I say TE's aren't important and TE's wont be used or wouldn't be used with DeSean? Ertz and Goedert will keep getting the most targets that isn't going to change. What is going to change is the addition of the homerun threats of DeSean and the other speed the Eagles brought to the offense it is going to force defenses to start playing safeties back and corners back and it is going to open up a lot more for the TEs. That's kind of the whole point. The presence of speed helps the offense immensely and and it is an aspect it has been sorely missing for a couple years now.
Fact is they only play with ONE ball, if a team is going to throw a higher percent of balls to the TE position the WR's numbers will suffer. Yes Pederson would probably love to have better WRs on hand, but he's still going to target the TE more than most every other team. His offense is TE centered.

This isn't fantasy football. WRs with big numbers isn't important. It wasn't just WRs "numbers" that has been the Eagles issue. It has been flat out bad play. Bad drops and a shocking inability to effectively stretch the field. There has been no reason for teams to fear the Eagles beating them deep because they flat out have not had the receivers to do that. The Eagles being able to hit on a just a few big passing plays down the field a game is going to force defenses to adjust to try to stop those big down the field passing plays from happening.
It's an element the offense had in 2017 but has not had the past two seasons outside of that week 1 game last year with DeSean. Teams will likely be pulling their safeties back deep to try and help their corners get beat from the speed of the Eagles WRs and that is just going to make things even easier for the TEs to feast. And if teams instead focus on paying more attention to the TEs then that opens up likely single coverage for our WRs that will have the ability to beat most corners 1 on 1 in getting deep down the field.
No one's talking fantasy, well OK you are, but thats another issue.
Again fact is Pedersons offense uses the TE and very often two TE's to produce yards and points.
And as long as you want to bring up dropped passes, do we have to school you again on what team has more drops?
You're oblivious to facts.
What are you failing to understand here? Having wide receivers with speed who give the Eagles offense down the field options does nothing to interfere with the Eagles offense using their TEs. It creates a symbiotic relationship between the speedy WRs and the TEs that helps create a more dynamic and dangerous offense. Look at the Chiefs who heavily use one of the top 2 TEs in the NFL while also airing it out down the field with their fast WRs.
