Ohio needs to act
Cool, now the universities can use their scholarship money for paying students and better educations.

Yeah, but couldn't you make these arguments for pro athletes as well? The world hasn't exactly been suffering because players aren't coming out of schools with degrees in art history and sports medicine anymore...Good for the athlete-students(wink, wink), now they can pay their own way to school.
Nebraska prepares for student-athlete branding by partnering with Opendorse
I wonder if this means that the rate of forgiveness with athlete-students will drop? I mean, if the QB has a bad day like Adrian Martinez does, does he get canned and lose his endorsements or will the fans still clamor for his gear?
If the once popular athlete does lose endorsements will he try to get them back, or just continue to suck and take the whole team down with him?
Will this put more pressuse on the athlete-students(cough, cough) to perform knowing their endorsements will take a hit if they suck?
If a receiver is not getting the ball enough, and he has very little endorsements, and he doesn't like the QB, will he drop the ball?
Will the Oline block for the QB if he stinks it up and blames the Oline?
How many athlete-students(nudge, nudge) will try to transfer to Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, or Ohio State?
Going to be interesting.

You do realize that none of that money will be coming from schools right? lolCool, now the universities can use their scholarship money for paying students and better educations.
Only a select few will ever see any money. But maybe as groups they can get some extra cash.i mean if im a business owner am i really gonna sign a kid who will be gone in a few years who may or may not turn out to be good?
Pro is different. They have contracts and guaranteed deals. They also know the NFL is based on performance, if you suck, you get booted to the side pretty quickly.
the college athletes won't have any guaranteed money, I think. Probably the first year is guaranteed, but after that it would be a year to year basis. I just cannot see very many college players being signed to a multi year NIL contract, but then, I had to pay my way through school and actually work and pay taxes.

If the cant use logos the just gonna dress in colorsI'd put packages together, allowing University logo's to be used with a player's endorsement. maybe both parties make some money.
It's going to happen quick now.
We'll see who was ready and who wasn't.

The have nots shouldn’t have been kept around so long. Kansas would probably be a better name with a larger fan base following football if there were like 140 other G5 and P5 teams all competing together. If we kick the G5 out into another league you’ll have about 60 major teams. Fans will consolidate to those. The disparity between the have and have nots is only going to grow
College Football Attendance 5-Year Average For Every School
Kansas is the lowest Power 5 on that list at #80 Big 12
79. Duke ACC
78. Wake Forest ACC
74. Vanderbilt SEC
73. Washington State PAC 12
64. Boston College
63. Oregon State
62. Syracuse
60. Northwestern B1G
34. Miami claims 55.000 per game over the five year attendance, wow, not believing that at all
28. BYU
The top ten are the usual suspects

I'm going to say it's probably more in the thousands, especially if there's some deal later on with something like an NCAA Football game where every single athlete could profit if they put them in the game. You hear about boosters at some schools giving kids stuff, down to kickers. So I think some will REALLY benefit from this and some will just only slightly benefit from this. I doubt at most major schools many kids see absolutely nothing from this. What's a select few? I'm going to guess hundreds of students athletes will be able to profit off of this. And it goes far beyond football and men's basketball.
