When was the last time Bama went on the road to play a mid major team?

I just noticed that Bama is on the road to play South Florida this week

For those that may not remember.
When the mickey mouse community college had their undefeated season and the ncaa gave them a binky to shut them up it was after that the gators offered them a three fer. And what happened? Excuses whining and back pedaling. Heck the swamp and whorelando is just a bus ride on the interstate.

Well, usf then scheduled a home and home with BAMA really as a nose thumb to the mickey mouse community college.

(pretty odd that they did both games at Hawaii, but going to Hawaii at the end of the fall isn't the worst thing in the world)

Pretty sure when you play Hawaii at Hawaii you get an extra game for your schedule.

I can remember several years ago (maybe back in the Bear Bryant days) when they played a road game at Memphis. They also played at Georgia Tech prior to them joining the ACC, but they were a former SEC team, so I'm not sure if that counts. There's been a few times throughout the years, but not many times in recent years. Most non-power teams don't have stadiums large enough to attract a visit.
