Perception is reality and you are clearly living in a different Universe from the pro-Jordan crowd.

I saw several instances where Phil and the players were completely disrespectful, straight assailed to Krause.

I saw just as many instances where Krause let his Napoleon syndrome sink his battle ship.

Dude is a victim of his own hubris.

Maybe some of my bias comes from the fact that I have been invested in this saga for decades.

Maybe it's based on the knowledge that Krause was a Fucking clown who actually believed he was going to land Duncan, Mcgrady and Grant Hill as soon as he got rid of Jordan and co.

He was a fool...lol
Idea he thought when they did rebuild it would be done quickly is absurd.....He's a fool that built a 55 win team all with his players. MJ built Charlotte and Jackson the Knicks. what does that make them? Double secret Super Fools?

Guessing discussions were over for Lue when he couldn't pick his own staff (hard to blame him). Contract length probably didn't matter.

Not to compare to Lue, but do we know what phillip was offered?
Yeah, you are wrong.

It was contract length.

They tried to line his deal up with Lebron's.

Lue reportedly declined a three-year, $18 million deal from the Lakers: Lue and his representatives declined the Lakers offer of 3-years, $18 million. Lue was seeking five years. per source. — Brad Turner (@BA_Turner) May 8, 2019

I have no idea what Phil was offered.

It doesn't really matter.

If he was offended, he was offended.

These overpaid Athletes, coaches, executives logic is beyond what the average person seems reasonable, at times.

He let the battle of wills go on too long.

Krause stated, repeatedly, that Phil wasn't coming back.

He could go 82-0 and he wasn't coming back.

Jordan stated, repeatedly, he would not play for another Coach.

Yet, he waited until the public backlash was heating up to say...okay, one more year, Phil.

Why wait until the 11th hour?

He could have simply said all options are on the table...

Why wait to put a stop to Krause being publicly emasculated on the regular?

Why wait until every single bridge was burned to step in?

This

Then Krause says you can have a 1 year deal? Oooooh a 1 year deal. After another 3 peat?

Eat a fat dick Krause you’re an idiot

He did a good job in Chicago.

It would all have been for shit if Jordan didn't fall into his lap.

Don 't lower yourself by comparing Jordan the player to Jordan the executive.

Apple's to fruit roll ups....lol

Take Jordan from the Bulls....

LeBron from the Cavs.....

Dream from the Rox...

What if the Wolves had taken Curry?

What would their trophy cases look like?

Probably the Clippers.

Starting over? They could have come back with others besides Scottie...even traded scottie. But MJ can't win without him it seems.

Agreed his right to quit, but why not prove he can win without scottie and/or Phillip?

Think Phillip had offers before the Lakers called him? If the Clips offered would he have come out of retirement?
To answer your question, he earned the right to go out on his shield.

Why didn't LeBron prove he could win without Kyrie?

Again: At least he was able to actually loose on the court.

Jordan didn't

To be the Champ, you need to beat the Champ.

Nobody beat Michael in the Finals.

It's really unbelievable still to this day.

It's as if he didn't realize what Jordan was. He had a front row seat and still couldn't see the forest for the trees.

I am of the belief that the name on the front of the Jersey is more important than the one on the back.

But, ffs....

There are clear exceptions to that rule....lol

Magic, Bird, James, Jabbar and Mother Fucking JORDAN.

And it wasn’t just Jordan. Phil didn’t like his Little man disorder at all. Scottie hated the dude obviously. Did he bring in some good pieces and let Phil take over at the right time?? Sure he did his job well.

This was Phil’s call and it was the right one. Why in the hell would you say to a coach who won back to back titles: “you could go 82-0 and you still won’t be back” ?? That’s just classless and stupid

Now I’m wondering if we are cursed because of it. Like the Cubs were for 100 years :L

What would it prove if he pulled a Lebron and went chasing rings? He proved he could win championships with a 3 peat. Then left for 2 years, the team didn't win, then came back and won 3 more.

He wasn't jumping from team to team with other stars or trying to team up with Barkley, Ewing, Drexler, Olajuwon, Malone, etc. He wanted to bury those players because he had a maniacal obsession to be the best and win. (It is that instinct you are either born with or you aren't)

He proved he was the best over and over. What would he gain by teaming up with others? He didn't need to chase rings -- he won 6 with the team he helped build from the ground up.

And Phil had already said -- the Lakers is the job he wanted. I don't think he would have coached anywhere else. He saw the talent they had and knew he could help lead them to titles.

I don't think Jackson is some otherworldly coach. I think he is very good at massaging egos of otherworldly players and getting them all on the same page.

What was crazy to me -- they wanted to 'rebuild' when you have a once in a lifetime talent on your team, instead of riding it until the wheels fall off.

It is as if Krause thought he could just rebuild them into a juggernaut again, as if players like Jordan come around all the time.

This is my point exactly.

This guy actually BELIEVED he had Duncan, Hill, McGrady in the bag, he didn't, and that the greatest player to ever lace them up was cooked.

I get subscribing to the philosophy of its better to trade a guy a year early over a year late.

But, I also believe you shouldn't count your chickens before they hatch.

Let's assume that the NBA had the CBA in the 90s that it does now. All of the sudden Dream decides to go to Utah to play with Malone and Stockton. Or Webber goes to play for the Pacers?

Oh and Jordan isn't allowed to get 110% of the salary cap to stay with the Bulls.

Krause was an arrogant prick but I think people are ignoring the finances of the time. The Bulls couldn't keep paying Jordan 30 million a year when the freaking salary cap was 26 million.

This team would beat them.

Magic
MJ
LeBron
Duncan
Olajuwon
Not a chance. The intelligence level of my team would overcome the raw talent of yours.
