I’m upset there isn’t a TE prospect for us to take in the 1st this year.

I’m really hoping that Chase Young falls in our lap, so not even Bob Quinn can screw up the #3 pick.

I didn’t want to trade our 1st for Ramsey so obviously I don’t want Okudah at 3. I don’t really want him at 5 either but if trading back nets us an extra 1st or two then I’d be okay w it.

There are other corners I really like later - Diggs, the other tOSU corner and the kid from Miss State all look like great CBs we can snag later.

I went back through the drafts from 2010-2019 for 1st round drafted CB. 35 CB were drafted in round 1. Three CB and One CB were drafted respectively in 2018 and 2019. I discounted these four for the simple fact they've had 2 and 1 year experience respectively.

Of the 31 CB drafted in years 2010-2017, I account for
12 Busts
12 CB1
7 CB2 or slot.

Nearly 40% Bust rate if your counting on drafting a CB1 in round one.

If Tua is available, I hope they take him. If not, take Young.

I would rather not take Tua, after Lions clean house this next off season, the new guy will want his own QB. We will just drop Tua for pennies on the dollar.

kid from Miss State

ran a 4.64 at the combine. I like the kid. Maybe had a bad day ? He was great against bama wr this year. He has the technique and mechanics down but is still somewhat raw.

Don't let @Rollingthndr know this.

Hoodie assuredly would cough up a 2021 5th round pick, wouldn't he ?

Mayhew was decent his issue was more on the finance side

He was pretty much screwed with the rookie salary situation. Which got fixed right after the Lions got decent and weren't picking at the top anymore, coincidentally.

I wrote an entire thread about him needing to be fired after drafting Laken Tomlinson who was a 3rd round talent in the first round. Lions kept him another year to long which led to him amazingly picking a TE in the top 10.

Wait, an OG in the first and then a TE in the top 10. Sounds all too familiar, hmmmmm....

Conditional, could move to a 4th in 2027 if if Tua plays every game for the next 6 years.

4.64 isn't bad. He should be able to stick with receiver eligible offensive lineman when teams run jumbo packages.

Why? If the Lions have a 30 somethin' ranked defense again, Stafford will throw for over 5,000 yards and 50 plus TD's with maybe 7 wins for the season. What more can a Lions fan ask for?

I follow his wife on instagram... I like Stafford more and more. Seems like a humble dude, family guy who hasn't bitched at all about losing really. Worked at his craft and was on his was to a pro bowl caliber year before getting hurt. He deserves much more winning than what this organization has offered him.

He sits behind Stafford. Stafford has pro bowl year. We trade Stafford. Another 50 year curse to wait through. If we all make it to live 100 years old. We will be able to see the Lions pull out a championship.

I would feel pretty safe with Okudah though.
5 star recruit out of high school.
All the measureables.
No penalties against him last year for holding or PI (I believe?)

I want a double trade down, drafting Jeudy.

That will lesson BQ's load for travel/scouting reports as he'll only need to focus on 4 CFB teams Draft Prospects once all his initial/main trades are finalized in the top 12.
