Frustrating loss we out played them big time in the 3rd.
Showed a lot of fight today.

Agreed. We completely dominated them throughout the 3rd period. We make one mistake and one of their young stars makes a play to put us away for good, but we still kept coming. Even so, I don't think anyone would've been surprised if the game went into OT tied at 4.

Basically, Vasilevskiy outplayed Hart, especially considering the soft one that Carter gave up to Killorn very early on. That play can't happen. Everyone knows it and he will learn from that.

Again, for whatever reason, we're a team that appears to start slow very often, gain traction in the 2nd period and then we're the best team in hockey for the 3rd...Lol

It makes for an exciting brand of hockey because we're never out of a game, but it's also frustrating to often be trailing early on and constantly having to scratch and claw our way back. That and a huge amount of our games have gone into overtime, although we have improved there and in the shootout.

Home and home with CBJ could mean a lot in deciding wild card/3rd place.

CBJ still has a west coast trip to make and 5 away games in a row towards the end of the season.
Also, CBJ have played three more home games than the Flyers.

NYI still have a west coast trip to make, but still hold 2 games in hand.
CAR still has a stretch of 6 away games in a row.

CBJ continues it's losing streak coming in to a big week against the Flyers. I think if the Flyers win both, CBJ is toast.

Flyers did their part to put some distance between them and Florida as well.

IMO, Flyers get in relatively easily as long as they don't shit the bed for a 4-5 game stretch.

No thanks. Bogosian can't even stake down a top 6 job on a bad Sabres team. The Flyers could have had him for free a couple of days ago. The other issue is he has a $5M cap hit, Flyers can't afford that. Even if the Sabres ate half of it. Plus I'd take Friedman as my 7 over Bogosian, if you want to use Ghost to get help up front.

Dealing Ghost makes more sense in the summer, IMO.

Yes he'd def have to be a super sale item to even consider it. I was more just talking to have dude as some depth that you could pay nothing for and hope you never have to use him lol.
