Those guys get as bored as we do at this time of the year. Seems like we keep hearing the same story of Rangers leader in pursuit of Castellanos and Cards and Rangers talking with Arenado. LOL!

I guess I just remember back not so long ago when there was no Twitter, no mlbtraderumors.com, no sites like this one. Those were the dark ages where between October and Feburary you hardly ever had anything to read about at all concerning baseball or the Rangers.

Something to remember about Castellanos, he's never played 1B and has been a negative defender everywhere and anywhere he's played on the field... every season, minus 11 games in LF for the Cubs last year

Granted 1B is a place you can hide a minus defender on a somewhat limited basis... plus I'd rather rotate his bat into the lineup versus Heineman's

All things considered, I would give Guzman the starting 1B job. He is better on def than 2B and 3B and could be a surprise at the plate against RHP. Not much to lose. Some do not like him but it is too early to write him off.
