What you can't understand is that the Cavs and GS played Lebron, Kyrie, Love only once and they lost...

And in that same series, if Iggy doesn't get hurt and Draymond isn't an idiot, the Cavs lose in 5.

Bottom line, the Warriors got a title that may well have gone to the Cavs if Love and Kyrie were healthy and the Cavs got a title that likely goes to the Warriors if Iggy stays healthy and/or Draymond isn't an idiot.

LOL.

The man who actually believes that Kyrie is a better player than Curry is calling me biased.

Can’t make this stuff up.

You are sitting here trying to peddle that Lebron wouldn't have won a series he almost won with d-leaguers who shouldn't even start, let alone be playing in the NBA finals. That isn't bias?

And before you go spouting off that Durant last year is much better than Irving and Love...Which is true, Lebron is Much better than Durant. He doesn't need much to win. But he sure as hell needs better than Delly and Verajao...Don't be a fool, i know it's hard for you!

Last year we saw Curry, Thompson, Green without Durant again...They lost again...No durant or injuries no championships...Do you need to see it a 3rd time next year?

Love missed a game that series. Valid injury excuses should be longer than 1 game. I don't remember Iggy getting hurt or missing any games tbh.

I agree tho, that 2016 could have gone either way, but the 2015 was as obvious as if Durant had played last year. But Lance is sitting here arguing with me that if we added 2 superstars back in 2015 it wouldn't have made a difference over 2 complete scrubs in a series we still almost won...It's very bizaree argument

Kyrie Irving: Cavaliers Would've Beaten Warriors in NBA Finals If Healthy

"Shots fired!

Well, not really.

More like: Basic logic fired!"

Except to Tlance...

Here's the thing...Shit happens.

In 2015, the Warriors had never played in a finals and they looked like it. Meanwhile, the best player on the planet, who was coming off of 4 straight finals appearances and 2 titles, gave the Cavs an advantage.

Unfortunately, for the Cavs, they lost 2 of their most important players and it cost them that series.

In 2016, the Warriors lost Iggy, Steph wasn't 100%, and then they lost Draymond to his own stupidity. That cost them the series.

End of the day, the Warriors got a title they probably shouldn't have in 2015 and the Cavs got one that they probably shouldn't have in 2016.

So, as tends to happen in sports, things evened out and both teams likely ended up with the number of titles they would have anyway.

So, the whole argument really doesn't make a lot of sense.

Shocker.

Kyrie thinks they would have won.

He also thinks the world is flat.

Not exactly the best source.

Talent wise, Cleveland was better. Team wise, GS was better. It is really that simple.

No the guy who wrote the article said it's basic logic and this...

Of course, there is one way to kind-of-sort-of glean insight into the unknowable: a rematch.

I can agree with most of that

Kyrie got hurt in game 6 and Love missed a game in the 2016 finals...We weren't 100% in either finals either

But GS got a massive advantage going into the next finals series because of the events of the first finals. They may have been way less confident after losing a finals vs winning one. Love and Irving would have championship experience vs their first finals ever. The heart of the champion stuff lol

It's realistic to say that the Cavs could have easily won both, but shit happened

That's why they make them play the games. lol

You can also make an argument that the Warriors should have won both.

And how were the Cavs not 100% in the finals? They had Lebron, Kyrie and Love all playing.

You Cavs fans really need to stop trying to replay those first 2 finals and just enjoy the title you got.

Love missed a game and Irving hurt his foot in game 6. 2016 imo proved that they would have won 2015. That was what the article was hinting at

Sure you can't prove it, sorta like you couldn't prove that had Durant played last year they beat the raptors...But you can assume

Here is the thing though.

there a plenty of people who share your opinion. Also plenty who share mine that GS would have won anyway in 2015. We will never know. But I at least admit the possibility. And you completely fail to admit Cleveland had their own good fortune that led to their title in 2016.

Looking at facts objectively, there is a lot of data out there that suggests the Warriors were the superior team both years. You know, things like win/loss records, the fact that the West was demonstrably stronger than the East both seasons. Yet still, the Warriors won 14 more games in 2015 and 16 more games in 2016 in the stronger conference.

And you continue to cling to your biased evaluation of Cleveland’s talent while ignoring the team construct. There is plenty of data to support my side of things. Your argument is built around a false narrative where you honestly believe Kyrie is a better team basketball player than Steph Curry. Which is literally insane.

When i said that Irving lit Curry up in the finals on his own court....BTW Irving now has Durant and depending how he comes back, i wouldn't count him out just yet...

No

You base your opinion on a single 7 game sample when Curry was obviously less than 100%.

You ignore all advanced stats and logic. You ignore the fact that Kyrie’s teams have done as well or better when he hasn’t been active. Meanwhile Curry’s team turns into the Knicks with him on the sidelines.

Yeah, but they were still the knicks with him playing, before he faked his injury this year...There isn't as much of a difference between the two as you would like to pretend...And Irving has Durant now..I know which teams will be better going forward most likely

Why is it so hard for you to admit that Cavs would have likely won in 2015. Can you think of any team that if you pull their next best players and replace them with Delly, they would actually get better?

As for your their better was defense, i looked that up as well and that also wasn't true. GS averaged 100.6 ppg in 2015 finals, and 99.8 ppg in the 2016 finals, so their defense was actually worse in 2015. Another lie by you...Not to be surprised.
