Yeah there’s a compromise in there somewhere.Hmmmm I might be able to get on board with that, but I would think that if they played every game they were eligible up to then it should be adjusted.

Yes, because they didn't make the school a shit ton of money...I do think you should have to pay your scholarship back. It’s only fair.
They all do. Football is a "me" game. Show me the money. Kids expect $100 mil right after the draft and hell, if idiot owners want to give it to them, who are they to say no.Makes them undraftable, in my opinion. If you'll quit on your college team, you'll quit on your pro team.
Breach of contract IMHO. Tough titties. People should learn to honor their commitments.Yes, because they didn't make the school a shit ton of money...
I get it. As fans we want to see their season/careers all the way through.Breach of contract IMHO. Tough titties. People should learn to honor their commitments.
I wouldn't either, but it's one exhibition game a month out. Now, they can sign with an agent, train to prepare for the draft an extra month, and get some extra cash.
Well, you can pay for someone to personally train/coach you for the combine"Train to prepare for the draft" is such an overused excuse. They can "train" while "training" for the game they would be playing in in a few weeks. How is the game gonna alter their "training" regiment for the draft?
It's a buncha' a bullshit.
Why don't they just tell it like it is and say " I ain't gonna risk bank, playing in a shit bowl game, for some shitty swag bag?
Most of the crap they have to do at the combine has nothing to do with football, so no, the training is not even close to the same."Train to prepare for the draft" is such an overused excuse. The problem is that most of the Bowl games are worthless.
I don't blame the players. If you're good enough to be a first round draft pick, and your team isn't in the playoffs, apparently your teammates didn't have your back all season, why should you have theirs for a meaningless bowl game?
Not even 1st round. Many of these players come from terrible situations as far as home life/financial situation and ANY spot on a NFL roster in ANY way is well worth the hurt feelings of some fans for some chicken bowl appearance.
Except the 2nd best player in the NFL in Christian McCaffery skipped his bowl game.
I don't think you know how many great players have skipped their game and have gone on to great/good NFL careers.
