well we agree on wanting Santana in the batting order on a constant basis we just don't agree in what position. Mazara doesn't hit me as DH material and definitely not as 1st base material

There wouldn't be one DH per say, you could rotate, Mazara, Gallo and Calhoun through the spot, even Santana, I agree about him not being a realistic option at 1B, Mazara and Gallo had issues with injuries this year

On the infield you IKF that can play every position to give guys days off, even catcher in an emergency situation

Yes, I am biased about what I believe in. I will be the first to admit it.

Hell man. I thought everyone was supposed to be biased about what they believe in.

I need an aspirin. LOL! Reminded me of Mars Attacks “Why can't we work out our differences? Why can't we work things out? Little people, why can't we all just get along?”

I would have taken Hamels under those terms as well.

Signing Rendon and making mistakes financially? I don't understand what your point is; unless you're thinking of signing Rendon as a mistake. And why would you think that?

Dumb signings or trades? What, the rest of us do? The only thing is, what some would view as a 'dumb signing' or 'dumb trade' someone else might see as a good signing.

That's kind of the point of this site isn't it?
He talks about signing ing Rendon and the not making financial mistakes. Hindsight is is a hellava thing. At the end of contract it is easy to sit back and shoot holes thru it and say I was opposed to it and say here's why I'm opposed to doing any signing over a certain period of time. Problem with that it eliminates your team from signing 90 to 95percent of the quality free agents who are looking for more stability.

And my comment was just responding to his comment about dumb trades that implied I wanted to make trades just to make trades

Perfect example. I said, "Sign as many decent to good pitchers to short term contracts as it takes to feel comfortable trading Minor."

I never said cheaper than Minor.

You just don't pay attention and you don't mind misrepresenting what my stance is.
Okay then tell me what put hers would you sign to replace him

I don't base opinions on hindsight. A perfect example is how I feel about Wheeler. I had similar reservations about Hamels a few years back. I never wanted Choo nor Fielder.

Yes, I want to sign some expensive free agents and I don't want to make dumb mistakes like signing Choo or now with Wheeler. There is no discrepancy there. Everything is a gamble, but be wise about when you gamble.
You never know at the time of the signing of the FA if they are going to worth it the full time of the contract. So how do you know when not to do it?

He's been pretty clear about what he doesn't and didn't like about Wheeler and Hamels (how they fare against AL teams, injury history, or both)

Fielder is what his loss of bat speed... Choo was always too much money and too many years for what he did

You weigh the facts and the options. Then you use judgment.
