Watched The Mule last night.

Slow and understated, but enjoyable. I was surprised by the cast. I didn’t realize how many “big” names were in it.

Deciding for tonight between: The Lighthouse, Zombieland Double Tap, Terminator Dark Fate (probably not), and seeing Joker a second time
Haven’t seen Joker but have heard great things. If it were me, I’d choose that or Zombieland 2. Don’t know anything about The Lighthouse.

Saturday afternoon I puled out my BluRay Bourne box set.

Did Identity and Supremacy, loved every second.

Watched Snowpiercer about a week ago.

now I gotta rewatch the Snowpiercer/Willie Wonka connection YouTube vid.

a few questions. I will place in spoilers since this isn’t a snowpiercer specific thread.

What the hand motion they all kept doing (the boss lady did it with the shoe and Willard did it as he was explaining the use of the kid in the machine)? I realize it was the motion the kid did to clear the muck, but why was it repeated throughout the train?

What was the significance of freezing the dudes arm? Was it just punishment? It seemed like a lot of trouble and there seemed to be some other meaning to it.

I watched Anna and Good Boys this weekend. Anna was ok, but all in all was absolutely nothing special... it just wasn't done terribly.

Good Boys on the other hand.... was fucking awful. Terrible EVERYTHING.

I watched The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance last night. I can't believe I hadn't seen it until now. There is some good subtle humor in it especially at the end where he had a long life of accomplishments and people only remember him for ridding them of a tyrant.

Just saw The Leisure Seeker. Donald Sutherland and Helen Mirren. Interesting movie, I loved both characters. Don't want to give anything away, dealing with older people situations.

a few good ones I've watched recently:

The Hill (1965) - in a WWII military prison, a group of prisoners tries to survive under a warden determined to "break" them. Sean Connery stars as the defacto leader of the group.

The Prize (1963) - this movie turned out to be quite different from what I was expecting. A group of award winners come to Copenhagen to receive their Nobel Prizes. Paul Newman and Edward G. Robinson, as two of the winners, play the most prominent roles. The movie starts kind of slow, spending about 20 minutes introducing us to the various characters. Things then really start to pick up when Robinson gets abducted. The rest of the movie is basically a relatively fast-paced cold war spy thriller.
