The Patriots did what they were supposed to do to win. They took away Ertz and Sanders. The rest of the weapons on offfense were shit.

Fucking garbage. We were promised better than this trash. I’m ready to rebuild and get a real franchise QB in here.

Whew......Thank God they don't let the mentally challenged run football games. No one promised you a fucking thing. You can just stop watching.

Wentz was not good today but neither was anyone else on offense including the coaches. Yet you put it all on the QB who has the talent to play and be elite in this league.

I guess you will get to bitch for quite some time because Wentz is here to stay.

said it a million times and i'll wind up saying it a million more. nick foles was better for this team over the next 2-3 years. and that is just straight up, not including whatever return we would have gotten on the 'elite' wentz. anyone who thinks we'd be struggling this horribly with foles behind center is CRAZY.

but he's gone. so the problem now is, we're stuck with wentz. but that's what 99% of the fan base wanted. so, enjoy? you can keep blaming everyone but him. other teams somehow utilize their "crappy weapons" and put points on the board. funny how that works. funny how foles could do it here. funny how wentz has shown absolutely nothing outside of his happy feet 2017 season. keep waiting though.. greatness will happen :rolleyes2:

The Nick Foles that lost 33-13 today?

the nick foles that went on the road for his first game back. the nick foles that was 33/47 for 296 yards, 2 TD and a 92.1 rating. the nick foles that only took 2 sacks and didn't fumble because he knows how to get rid of the ball. the nick foles who put up big numbers with the so called slop we currently put on the field week after week.

yes, that nick foles.

I love you apply those "certain" standards for everyone but Wentz. Show how much of a hypocrite you are and not to be taken seriously.

Welp....I didn’t have high hopes for this one. Only I saw the offense being adequate and the defense getting smoked. What a switchero.

We are .500 again. And next week will be no simpler. But if we can get a few guys back and have some tweaks and win we will be well on track.

Even in 2017 Wentz had a game like today IIRC. It was just one game, but it happened. Of course....it happened against next weeks opponent. So....we will see.

the offense is garbage. so many people have whined about the defense this year and they are borderline top 5. the offense is pushing back towards 25th or some shit. it's a fucking joke. and people are still sucking off wentz, trying to blame it on everyone else.

wentz has proven time and time again he's inconsistent and cannot be counted on for basic, simple throws. not to mention his continual timing, sack and fumbling issues. pederson is also clueless without a top of the line o-coordinator.

A huge problem for Wentz is that he refuses to use check downs ... if a throw is not in his sweet spot of between 10-15 yards downfield, he doesn't even look at it. Tony Romo pointed out several times during the game that the check downs were wide open and Wentz doesn't even look at them. Wentz instead tries to buy time until those 10-15 yard options break loose ... but with this WR crew, doing that usually leads to a Sack. Defensive co-ordinators don't even guard check downs against Wentz because they don't need to. The coaches have to take huge blame on this as well since they need to point it out and work on Wentz with using those options.

I will put it like this. The Patriots receiver situation is just as bad as the Eagles is and it showed the importance of having weapons. Brady is the GOAT and the Eagles secondary made him struggle, why is that? It can't be because the secondary is that good or got that much better. This is the same secondary he torched in the Superbowl when he had weapons. Today Brady should have thrown at least 4 interceptions. The Patriots only TD came off a trick play.

Wentz has the talent to be elite and anyone that does not see it just has blind hate for him and to be honest too stupid to take seriously. Wentz did not play well today but he did not play horrible either. I counted at least 5 drops and a couple other pass that I see many other receivers make. Today the Eagles starting receivers were Nelson Algholor, JJ Whiteside and Jordan Mathews who has not played a game in I don't know how long. So in a 17-10 game with shit for receivers the Eagles threw the ball 40 times.

On the flip side the Patriots have the best corner in the NFL and he takes away one player each down. The Pats did not blitz much so on most downs the Eagles had 3 or 4 receivers being covered by 6 defenders and never having to worry about a deep threat. The Eagles averaged 10.7 yards per reception. The Patriots averaged 8.7 yards per reception.

Rey is correct in the fact that Wentz never looks at the checkdown. He is also correct that it falls on the coaching. This is something that should be worked on a great deal in practice. He needs to be taught to go through his progressions quickly. He is waiting too long for something that rarely happens and that is an Eagles receiver getting open.

This is huge! Romo was dead on. He’s just not progressing in these kinds of things that a franchise QB does. Take the check down and live to go another down. I don’t know if it’s coaching or he just doesn’t listen.

I love Wentz, I loved Foles and what he did for us.
I am so fucking tired of us having shitty WRs. It's been an issue since 1999. Everytime we get a decent one we run them out of town. It's bullshit. You simply can't win when your number one and two option to throw to are TEs.

It is clearly coaching. Wentz is a detail fanatic from what I hear. So he is doing what he is coached to do. He did not have this problem when Reich was here. When the protection holds up he wants to give the receivers extra time but the problem with that is he is realizing too late he needed to dump it off.

how many elite WR's has Tom Brady had?

Baltimore is 8-2 with Marquese Brown, Miles Boykin and WIllie Snead

49ers won again today with who at WR?? Deebo Samuel? no Kittle, no Emmanuel Sanders......no problem

the Raiders are 6-4.........quick, name me 2 of their WR's..................

I get it, it would be nice to have a Mike Evans on this team, but not every team has elite WR's all over the place. i mean the Falcons and Texans have arguably the 2 best WR's in NFL and they still struggle to win games

The guys the Eagles started at WR today have a combined stat line of 44 catches for 414 yards and 3 TD’s.

If that was the stats of 1 WR he would rank 27th in catches, 57th in yards and 38th in TD’s. That is the entire group against NFL WR’s as individuals.

The Eagles need to play to Wentz strength this off season and find him WR options that have quickness to get open quickly or be a realistic downfield option (unlike Agholor who can't track anything). Look what he did with DJax the one game where he was healthy. These receivers we have now ... Hollins, Arcega-Whiteside, Matthews ... are all possession types who can't separate. That's all well and good as long as they can win contested catches like a "healthy" Alshon can do ... but these are all bottom rung receivers. Arcega may develop, but so far seems like he's over matched at the pro level.

So the standard is the the Greatest of All Time? This comparison is stupid because Wentz is not on the level of Brady. Very few who have ever played the game are.

Oh and by the way. The Patriots have the #1 defense in yards allowed and Points allowed.

Baltimore is 8-2 with Marquese Brown, Miles Boykin and WIllie Snead

Not because of Jackson's passing game. His numbers are very close to Wentz. His running is the main reason they have been pretty much unstoppable. He is 11th in the NFL in rushing as a Quarterback. Give me a break with this nonsense.

49ers won again today with who at WR?? Deebo Samuel? no Kittle, no Emmanuel Sanders......no problem

Not because of Garrapolo. They are being carried by the defense. The Niners have the #2 scoring defense in the NFL and #2 in yards allowed. Jimmy G and Wentz numbers are very close but Jimmy G has twice the Interceptions. Again..... a point that is completely invalid.

the Raiders are 6-4.........quick, name me 2 of their WR's..................

And not because Carr is carrying them. Another QB's who numbers are close to Wentz.

Every QB you listed has numbers that are comparable to Wentz even Brady but he has 500 more yards and he is the GOAT. They all have the same thing in common.....shitty receivers. I am not what your point was but if it was to say the QB's carried these teams.....Well you are completely wrong.
