Rangers not boiling over with either as an organization. I don't believe the oil tycoons have the same deep pockets or are willing to spend much and the depth of the organization with players in the minors
I think the problem is in the willingness to spend.

Can we include Jason Garrett in a trade? That might add a bench warmer in lower A ball.

And the Rangers don't have that willingness. I see them signing a few of the usual suspects and wobbling thru this coming season like we did this last season.

I see them being willing to spend like they did after the 2013 season. They are probably willing to increase spending overall about 50-60% as much as they should.

My heart Hope's you are right. My brain says they won't. They will make a couple of token offers to above average players which will be dismissed without comment and then go after the walking wounded pitchers and the below average positional players that have become their trademark.

I hope I am wrong

I don't hope I am right. That half-way or middle-of-the-road approach doesn't work. Either spend what it takes or continue the rebuild process. No fence straddling.

Speaking of the Rangers payroll, we finished paying off ARod this year. We still have $9million left to pay Prince next year. After next year between Prince and Choo we will save $30 million.

We need to stop this kind of non-sense.

Let this be a lesson to those who think owners won't spend the money. This was beyond crazy. Thanks Bennie for digging this up.

That was an example of them going half way and in them spending unwisely. They can do much better on both fronts.

Certainly hope so. Those acts of insanity have hampered us long enough.

Allard got good marks but A- is a little high. Do think he will be in the rotation 2020. ERA a little high. B imo. C is ok with Burke. Blisters kept him handicapped. The remaining guys is about right with a D.

Correct but because of the Arod Fielder and Choo mess they were reluctant to go out on a limb. With the end of some of the contracts coming to a close hopefully that will change

Okay my bad
No biggie. Problem is the present ownership is having to pay for someone else's mistake which handcuffs them some and can make them weary of doing something like that again so they may be hesitant on spending that kind of money.

So the Padres are taking a look at Ron Washington for their managerial position.
