...For OC?

Or hire him on as an "advisor" on offense?

What's he gonna do on offense that Nagy isn't already doing?

Nagy shouldn't give up the playcalling. While he's had some bad games....Week 1 in GB being one of the worst....for the most part the playcalling is fine.

Playcalling isn't why the run game isn't working. It's also not while the QB play is subpar.

The issue with this team exist with execution of plays...not the plays themselves.

Maybe succeed?

Well Nagy won the division last season and Coach of the Year.

Bears are currently 3-2.....playoffs are a very realistic possibility again. It's certainly not as if the season is over.

So....sorry if I don't follow how picking up a recently fired coach would somehow fix the problems that currently exist on the Bears.

Would Gruden fix Trubisky overnight? Or the run blocking?

You seem to think "help" means "fix"...

Not saying that. Shit, I'm not even saying that we should definitely do this. I'm saying that Gruden IS a respected offensive mind and has been a successful OC. Our offense is struggling. Your claim is that NONE of it is on Nagy? Our QB just regressed in a most awful way, but that's not the coach. The playcalling has been a bit baffling at times, but that's not the coach.

SOMETIMES, a HC gets overwhelmed wearing too many hats. It's just a thought.

The problems that exist won't be fixed or "helped" by bringing in a coach with no knowledge of the current system in place.

Please quote where I said that.

Trubisky is regressing this year under Nagy's watchful eye, but you are insisting that he needs no outside help to correct any issues. To me, that means you believe Nagy can "fix" Mitch on his own (while ignoring that perhaps he is responsible for breaking him in the first place?)...

Just sayin'. But we're the Bears. We're special.

I'm an FSU fan as well and we've done it on both sides of the ball.

I'm insisting outside help won't help.

I'm not sure Mitch is even fixable. And what evidence leads you to believe Nagy "broke" him?

Okay.

So name me 3 times it's happened in the NFL and it produced positive results.

By that I mean where an NFL team brought in outside help during the season.

Go.....

You don't feel Mitch has regressed from last year to this one? He wasn't a world beater last year, but certainly is playing like shit this year.

Typically they are brought in as "advisors" for starters. To FSU as a quick example. They brought in Jim Leavitt 2 games into the season because our defense was playing like absolute crap. They titled him as a "QC Analyst"... But he was essentially brought in to fix the defense.

Successful? Eh, let's just say our defense doesn't suck as bad...

Jim Caldwell replacing Cam Cameron as OC with the Ravens in December of 2012 is a pretty good example... That worked out pretty well, won the Superbowl that year and all...
