With Boogie done, Lakers need to use their last roster spot on a guy that can play Center. Based on what's available, Joakim Noah might be the best option. He played well for Memphis last year but he doesn't like Lebron. Maybe he'd suck it up for a job? Gortat could be an option along with Nene and Faried. Faried is little too undersized though. Obviously Howard is available but he just sucks as teammate so he shouldn't be an option despite still being good enough to play in the NBA. Regardless, Davis should play some center in the closing line ups of close games. Despite his preference for being a PF, he needs to suck it up because the way Lakers are currently constructed, putting the 5 best players on the floor in tight games usually involves Davis at center.
and Davis has said multiple times how much he hates playing center. Dude might have to suck it up though

a lineup with LeBron at PF and Davis at center with 3 and D players in the back court/wings would be a pretty damn interesting lineup

He wont have to go to Cleveland, ever.

I think Kuzma will end up coming offf the bench as i think they need an established scorer off the bench.

That's my thought too. He can dominate against most teams 2nd units. He'd just be a solid player vs. most teams starters.

I doubt it. He isn't a Vinnie "Microwave" Johnson. Kuzma will take too long to heat up. Dude is a misfit on this team.

I disagree in saying Boogie did the wrong thing by turning down the Kings offer

1) He didn't want to be stuck with a losing franchise which is why he didn't sign with the Kings.

2) I agree about the Pelicans. I don't know if his agent told him some BS that there would be more money out there in the summer but yeah turning down 2/40M after tearing his achilles which wasn't a good idea.
sure, I get why he did it. But you think knowing how things turned out if he could go back he'd still decline the max from both Sacto and NO?

Obvious his recent injury history is why he didn't get pay what he really deserved but you're acting like teams knew this would happen which is why I want to slap you.

But it isn't a huge deal. It was a low risk/high reward contract for the Lakers. Emphasis on LOW RISK
did they KNOW it would happen? Of course not.....but history suggested it was more likely he'd get hurt and/or not be what he once was than not.

Not really if you are factoring money into it.
Lakers wasted 3.5.
Cavs are wasting 15M.

Not only that, wasn't your claim to fame on him that he was an 'iron man' and great teammate?

Since then he's missed 68 games the last 2 seasons and I believe turned the locker room into a reality show.
You think if they had the money to spend LA would not return cousins to sender and sign TT if it was only Cousins or TT?

Is that his salary this season?
If so, what are they getting in return for it?

I agree chances were Cousins wouldn’t make it through the season, but Lakers can’t be blamed for hoping.
TT has been healthy most of his career and is a near automatic double double. A bargain in today's NBA at his price.

seriously though

what do you guys think the Lakers opening day lineup looks like for Game 1? who plays PG? who plays C?
Rondo
Green
Lebron
AD
McGee

OR

Rondo
Green
Kuzma
Lebon
AD

I'd lean to first one as second has 2 guys playing a position they do not prefer

Haven't you heard? GM's are paid to know that.
Of course not....but GMs might be inclined to take the guy who is durable and a double double guy vs. the one who is constantly hurt whose career was already going downhill.
