Depending on who they're playing and what the score is they could easily have a lineup of

Boogie
AD
Kuzma
Green
Lebron

In fact its rumored Vogel might actually try that lineup at some point

I am sure he will.

But I bet that lineup will be awful defensively.

Same person so...

Ask Fordman the administrator where my IP address is coming from and ask where Lebron23James is coming from. You'll see I'm coming from Orange County, CA. His will probably be Ohio. There is no way are we the same poster. You need to get that out of your head, SD.

Yeah I'm with you on that.

SportsHoopla is too on top of their game to allow posters with the same IP address to post for this long without getting caught

Heard of a VPN? I can make it look like I’m posting from North Korea if I wanted to

Did you just admit to being Lebron23James' alt?

Did you just try to play the "I know what you are but what am I" card?

Well done. My kids used to do that when they were 8 years old. Maybe once you hit junior high you'll grow out of it too.

If you could go back in time, would you trade present-day Kyle Kuzma for the 1998 edition of Eddie Jones?

Jones was the anti-Laker in that he was a humble 26-year-old kid that stayed in the moment and was not fazed by the banners in the Forum rafters.

Notable Jones 1997-98 season stats: 16.9 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 3.1 APG, 2.0 SPG,.484 FG%,.389 3PT%, NBA All-Star, starting SG on 61-win Lakers that reached conference finals.

People tend to forget that Kobe had actually came off the bench behind Jones for his first two years in the league. As a #13 overall pick and one of the youngest players in NBA history, Kobe was not the can't-miss prospect LeBron was and had to work for his spot in the NBA. When you consider all the factors at the time, the Divac trade was actually a good one for the Hornets given that they had let go of Alonzo Mourning not long before.

In 1999, the Lakers had traded Jones (ironically to Charlotte, the team that drafted Kobe) in order to create a full-time starting role for Bryant.

Lakers already have a player in Eddie Jones' position in Danny Green. I'll take Green and Kuzma over a fictious opportunity to take Eddie Jones from 20 years ago.

Green's Per36 stats: 13.3 ppg, 5.1 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.2 SPG, .465/.455/.841 and a strong perimeter defender

BTW, why cherry-pick Eddie Jones' age 26 season to compare with Kuzma's upcoming age 24 season?

Eddie Jones' age 24 season, Per36:

14.7 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 4.1 APG, 2.1 SPG, .492/.366/.739

There is no possible spin to argue that 2 years of subpar Vlade production in Charlotte offsets trading away the rights to Kobe.

I never liked the Jones trade, and IMO the Lakers made several bad trades in the Kobe era (Jones, Van Exel, Caron for Kwame) before the bigger failures of Nash and Dwight. You could argue that Kwame helped get Pau, but I'm sure Caron would've been fine in his place in that deal, as Kwame was cash filler essentially).

You changed the whole question around to add Danny Green with Kuzma then compared that duo to Eddie Jones. That's a whole other question, man. The question was eddie jones at 26 and Kuzma now, who would you pick?

Two different type of players at two different positions at two different ages in two different eras.

This is more of a "which player do you like more" than which player would fit better with the current Lakers team.

You obviously love Kuzma. Eddie Jones was better, though, and would fit better with this AD and Lebron team.
