Our head of sales just stopped by my office to tell me he just finished having lunch with Garrett Snider. I said who's that and he said its Ed Sniders grandson. He told our guy that his family still has pretty good seats if he ever wants to go to a game.

I thought we got Hayes to play on the PK along with Couts not instead of Couts.

Yep. The author there is probably wrong. If Couturier doesn't lead the forwards in PK time again next season it'll be because he was hurt. Not using Couturier on the PK is choosing not to use one of your best players best attributes. That would be downright silly.

I expect Couturier, Laughton, and Hayes will be the main PK-ers next season. With Pitlick, Raffl, and Lindblom combining for the '#4' guy. If Rubtsov makes the team as the other forward, i could see him taking some of that by seasons end. Giroux maybe in a pinch.

I would actually like to see a little more of Roo just because of the danger atmosphere he causes, those passes back to the point better be sharp and crisp!

The Hayes signing definitely does one thing. It takes Gee off of the PK. Even though he was relatively a good penalty killer i dont want him playing those extra minutes at his age.

Gee was better than expected on the PK last season but we have him for 3 more years and at his age i dont want him to get burned out killing the dumb penalties we take sometimes. He is getting older so i think we throw him out there on special occasion to get a big kill.

I think I would put him out there in late games that are tied, that way I think teams couldn't become as aggressive as they would like

Are Provorov, Flyers at a standstill?
Is it just me or does it seem like Koneckny's contract doesn't seem to be a bigger topic? I wonder if he is going to still be here come training camp? Could we s
Afford to let him go?
I am almost 100% positive we will not be letting him go. Both sides are probably looking to get the best deal.I am assuming the Flyers are looking to bridge deal him and TK's camp is looking for more years and money. I dont blame TK, after seeing what we gave Hayes in both years and salary they must think we are giving money away.

I think I read somewhere that the Flyers were willing to go bridge or long term on Konecny. Provorov the Flyers want to do long term and Provorov wants a bridge.

I'm not really afraid of either getting re-signed. I just hope it happens before training camp.

I wonder if they've hammered out a bit of an agreement with Konecny. Based on where Provorov ends up, and how much money they have available, he'll either sign a bridge deal or a long term deal. If the Flyers try to get both on a long term deal, the cap is going to be very tight I think.

Can you put some numbers up for both players and both a bridge deal and long term deals that you think may happen.

Took Hextall four years to clean up the cap hell he inherited. Took Fletcher four months to eff it up again.
