if you would like to bet who the Game 1 starter will be if both guys are healthy, jsut lemme know.

Ill bet you today.
Im betting hes not healthy.
If he is, he should start.

Regardless, Whiteside will get his minutes and no team will get a break vs Portland if theyre both healthy.

Oh well if the guy is still hurt then obviously Whiteside starts- what you think he is a 27M dolllar 3rd teamer? as fucking hilarious as that might be, thats pretty hard for any team to swing spending a quarter of their payroll on a 3rd teamer.

MY point would be more succinctly stated as Nurkic is way fucking better.

I admire his resolve...

oh wait i thought it didn't matter if you get a lotto pick you can get stars anywhere? no?

Garland will be a better pro.

You can get stars anywhere. Point is the heat don't need herro to be a star. Cavs NEED Garland to become one

You do realize whiteside is basically a lock to start opening night unless he gets hurt right?

Please show us at PER 36, how hes ‘way fucking better’.

Whitesides biggest problem last year was that it appears Heat hit HR with Bam, not that he played poorly.

And, wasnt that 27M untradable unless assets were included?

if the Heat are going to be anything more than first round cannon fodder hes gonna have to be pretty fucking good.

I mean, what do you think? You think the Cavs couldnt have Westbrook tomorrow for a package of Sexton, the Milwaukee first rounder and a ton of expiring salaries?

If the Cavs wanted to be the 6th seed and lose in the first round they could have Westbrook in Cleveland in 20 minutes.

Garland has star potential---- and stars are what wins in the NBA- real stars, not fake nearly past their prime stars that move from team to team because no one can stand them like Jimmy Butler.

my biggest indicator is that his coach thinks playing him will help his team win. lol

Heat with Westbrook and Butler are no 6th seed in the east lol. You're out of your damn mind

Imo they're fighting with Boston for the 3rd seed

as for the 27 million-

i mean- use your brain- you just saw it with the Heat a few months ago

if you want to trade a shit bag contract for another shit bag contract- its not difficult- hence hte Tyler Johnson for Ryan Anderson trade.

You dealt Whiteside, "maybe the most dominant center in the league" for a center making 11 million dollars who will likely not even play he is so bad, and a wing player that you had to give away a first round pick to get another team to take

thats a guy on an expiring contract- as i said on the other thread do you realize how RARE that is? That, in order to get rid of an expiring contract- you had to basically take on an 11 million dollar player who is useless AND give up a first rounder? I seriously dont think i can ever remember a deal like that--- where, an expiring contract is supposed ot be a kind-of asset on its-own- but the team - in order to get rid of an expiring contract- had to give away a first rounder and take on an 11 million dollar player htat is useless.

I mean that is basically unheard of in the NBA. I honestly cant htink of another deal where a team getting rid of a guy on an expiring deal had to both give up a first round pick AND take a worthless player on an 11 million dollar deal. Its really mindblowing when you think about it.

Great

Now show us the stats.
Whitesides are better, per 36, is my best guess.

Also, really?
Heat dumped Whiteside to get asset to dump to get Butler and keep Dragic, who will prob be used to get Westbrook.

Tyler was dumped for Anderson, who was dumped to get under hard cap.

All great moves.

oh Whiteside is the master of empty stats. But as i have said forever- he just doesnt help you win

thats why

A. Spoelstra barely played him

and

B. Riley traded him literally nothing- in fact LESS than nothing.

I mean, you cannot possibly be under the delusion that there is any world where Riley would actually think it was a good idea to give that shitbag that contract can you? LOL cmon man.

From the minute he said he was destined for the door- and he kept getting his playing time cut and his whining kept getting louder until finally they had enough.

Don't waste your time. He probably thought acquiring james and bosh in 2010 were bad moves also.
