that would be fine with me as long as they get value

right now and for the next 2 years its all about finding out who can play and who cant and acquiring more assets.....

Sexton sure looked like he could play though- especially after he got his legs under him.

and ESPECIALLY considering the circumstances, a fired coach, tons of turnover, tons of injuries, etc....

it doesnt surprised me he scored the points he did considering hte opportunities,

it DOES suprise me that he shot 40% from 3, and 43% from the field....especially after a slow start and went for like 42% from 3, 45% from the field and 20+ points a game the last 3 months.
Oh, I love Sexton.

That backcourt could certainly be DAME/CJish.

But, they could just as easily be Steph and Monta.

Garland can shoot.

So, hopefully it works and no egos get bruised.

I'll bet YOU the Cavs will never win 16 titles...

anything else, bitch... ?:D
easy there Suze your gonna throw a clot. LOL

I mean, its pretty fucking hard not to win a playoff game for 7 years in a league where over half the teams make the playoffs Ms. Lucci. lol

and yes, the lakers had a ton of success under the great Dr. Jerry Buss who is one of the biggest figures in league history.

but the apple fell pretty fucking far from the tree and the same institutional advantages have shrunk in a major way. Its not coicedence or bad luck that the Lakers did not win a playoff game for 7 years. Its bad managemnt, and the combo of Jeanie Buss and Pelinka is prob. the worst in the NBA outside of Washington, New York and Phoenix (and maybe Minnesota/Orlando but thats prob. debatable.).

Cauley-Stein - Minimum

Kanter - 2/10

Kaminski 2/10

Boban 2/7
yah i think thats about right- falls somewhere in between Kaminski and Boban. Basically replacement level guy. As I said- if he is starting he is prob. the worst starting center in the league. If he comes off the bench he is a mediocre bench guy. If you could lineup all the big men that get regular minutes in the NBA hed without a doubt be in the bottom 5th

which is fine if thats what you want---- but i dont even think he helps you win regardless of what his contract is whether he was making 20 million a year or 500k a year.

I'm actually going to have to agree with you on Vogel.

Kidd will be first chair by Season's end.

With Lonzo gone, why else would J Kidd be there?

The Lakers knew they would have to part with him in any superstar trade.

So, why hire Kidd?

Because the front office is a mess with too many voices each having a different opinion so they literally just hired all of them. Like I'm not even exaggerating. Some wanted Vogel, some wanted Kidd, some wanted Lionel Hollins. All 3 are on staff now.

and the crazy thing is all it did was undermine Vogel. No way he makes it through all 3 years of his contract. Kidd will be the coach there well before Vogel's deal is up. They just cant seem to do anything the right way. Everything has a "yah but" attached.

that said, if with LeBron and Davis and a few shooters, no reason they cant win a title if the ball bounces their way like Toronto--- I mean, i wouldnt bet on it---- but they without a doubt have a chance IF they stay healthy and some other teams get a little unlucky.

I will wait till opening day for final predictions, but right now I prob have the Lakers with the 5th/6th best record in the West behind Utah, Clippers, Nuggets and Blazers--- and right there with the Rockets....

if you mean, by getting drafted, and then being booted from the league for being lazy and having to work his way back up through every podunk league in Europe then sure.

predictably he gets a huge contract and then the rest is history

He was a second rounder who got a Max deal

Pretty short list even if he truly had first round talent

LMFAO like a sad twerp like you could EVER get me worked up. who cares when you "get back to the playoffs?" your team is ass RIGHT NOW. LOL you remember all the crap you gave us for being bottom of the barrel? shoe's on the other foot, clown. feels like the encapsulated history of your entire franchise right about now, doesn't it? and you have the AUDACITY to laugh at the Lakers?! hilarious...:pound::pound::pound::pound::pound::pound::pound::pound::pound::pound::pound:

keep bringing up "7 years" like it somehow is gonna hurt my feelings. keep bringing up "bad management". look at the entire timeline of your franchise and compare that to 7 years, WiggityWack. because your sad franchise has been the league's bitch for a HELLUVA LOT LONGER. so what does that say about the Cavs...?

too funny. but you're a Cavs fan, so what the hell else have you got...?
losing and being bottom of the barrel is something you're used to in your part of the world. embrace it...

I'm sure it did.

He's lost in his feels. He's had 2 very bad off-seasons.

1 of the teams he hates most in he world took one of his nuts and Lebron from him and is now considered a contender for next year.

And the other team he hates most in the world is likely going to make the playoffs next year by getting one of the players he hates the most and possibly pairing him with one of the players he loves the most.

Meanwhile, his Cavs are already planning their next lottery party.

We may be in for another epic meltdown.

Most accurate post of the year. This is why Wiggy's in his feels, because his team is back to irrelevance. Even though he thought his team was going to be winning titles for the next decade (we'd tried telling that boy that things change instantly in the NBA).

if the Heat are going to be anything more than first round cannon fodder hes gonna have to be pretty fucking good.

I mean, what do you think? You think the Cavs couldnt have Westbrook tomorrow for a package of Sexton, the Milwaukee first rounder and a ton of expiring salaries?

If the Cavs wanted to be the 6th seed and lose in the first round they could have Westbrook in Cleveland in 20 minutes.

Garland has star potential---- and stars are what wins in the NBA- real stars, not fake nearly past their prime stars that move from team to team because no one can stand them like Jimmy Butler.

This is cute. Pathetic, but cute.

A lottery protected pick until 2026 and Richardson is significant assets?

Kept telling this boy in the WH vs. TT thread. He keeps glossing over that Whiteside was traded so we could free up cap space to get Butler. It's amazing that Wiggy likes to degrades posters for not grasping what he deems "simple logic", yet he clearly doesn't see the logic here. Irony is a beauty sometimes.

terrific?

ya think that his terrificness just scared teams away? That Taj Gibson, Enes Kanter, Ed Davis, Mike Scott, Robin Lopez, Thomas Bryant, Frank KAminskey, Kevin Looney- to name a few got more money?----to name a few more Valunciunas, DeAndre Jordan, Al Aminu, Thad Young,

ZUBAC GOT PAID COMPARED TO MCGEE!!! LOL....you think thats an accident?

is McGee starts is he the worst starting center in the NBA?

who is in the running?

CELTICS: Kanter (much rather have Kanter- esp. after that playoffs)
KNICKS: Taj Gibson, Randle or Robinson- all of them youd rather have
BULLS: Wendall Carter Jr? If the Lakers tried to trade McGee for WCJ they would be laughed off the phone
HAWKS: Alex Lenn? hmmm.....we have our first candidate!!!!
WZIARDS: Thomas Bryant is 21 and already a better player, but then again, do the Wiz really count as an NBA franchise?
WARRIORS: Looney and or WCS? Ill take both, or either. lol
CLIPPERS: Harrell and or Zubac? same as above- BOTH or EITHER
MAVERICKS: Dwight Powell? yah. Dwight Powell

so......id say that Alex Len and McGee are in a battle for worst starting center in the league.....though Looney and WCS arent far behind....

so many teams have multiples that are better.

The lengths you will go to are unbelievable.

Nobody ever said McGee was anything more than a body playing a role.

Last summer, I recognized that he could have a sizable role for the Lakers because they had very little big talent. I also realized that despite his flaws McGee tends to score pretty efficiently when given minutes.

You incorrectly analyzed the situation and said that you would “fly to Mars if McGee averaged 8 points a game”.

You were very wrong. And McGee’s value relative to other bigs around the league does not make you any less wrong. You clown yourself when you do this crap.

easily 9 guys should have 100% been taken in front of him

after that anyone could have been taken from 10 to 30 and would have had an argument for the most part.

So last week it was an 8 player class and you criticized NO for taking Hayes.

Bottom line is that there are quite a few guys drafted outside the top 10 who have a chance to be really good NBA players.

I had a very detailed breakdown of butler minutes a few days ago and of course you didn't respond. He had one year where his minutes were crazy. Otherwise his minutes were right up the ally with other top players but keep acting like nba players all of sudden fall off a cliff when they turn 30 simply because you hate the heat and Jimmy butler

That was a great post by the way.

oh Garland will be better. Lot more talented.

Garland will probably be better.

Probably.

Very important word choice there.

Herro looks like a good player and could potentially develop into a really good wing scorer who fits the modern game well.

Garland played like 4 games in college and 0 in the summer league. It is insane to say that he is a sure thing. He isn’t. He could end up being the best player in the draft and he has a great skill set. But he has a lot to prove on the court.

I’m not reading every word here but I did see where someone basically said Cleveland could have Westbrook if they wanted him. Not true because the Thunder are not going to trade him somewhere he doesn’t want to go. Probably not in their best interest to be that way but that’s how it is.
