I’m not reading every word here but I did see where someone basically said Cleveland could have Westbrook if they wanted him. Not true because the Thunder are not going to trade him somewhere he doesn’t want to go. Probably not in their best interest to be that way but that’s how it is.

I think OKC's going to facilitate a trade that Russ wants, but at the same time, they're going to want something out of him. I feel it's down to Miami and Detroit; maybe Philly as a dark horse if they're willing to trade Simmons and Russ straight up. But I doubt the latter happens.

what "asset" did they trade Whiteside for? Do you mean the guy they had to attach a first round pick to get rid off that had an expiring contract? LOL for fucksake man open your eyes!

Wrong again. Portland, the team Whiteside is on, took him even up for the 2 players. No assets included.

Riley maneuvering the Butler trade is totally different. He chose to do what he did vs cave into what the Mavs wanted, and it allowed us to keep Dragic.

I seriously doubt that last part as well, but I wouldn’t put it past the thunder to be intrigued by Simmons lack of shooting ability.

Jeopardy Question #5

Which SportsHoopla poster shared this with us April 6, 2019?

"especially becuase they have no cap room this year, and already have well over half of their cap room comitted for the summer of 2020....they can trade their 1st rounder this year, but cant trade it in 2020 or 2022 since they are already missing their totally unprotected 2021 pick, and unless i am mistaken they have no 2nd rounders for the next 3-4 years.

they really have not left themselves with very much flexibility to improve the team".

In case you went to bed early and don't want to read 4000 #wordsofwiggy, you didn't miss much other then the usual anti everything he's afraid of.

Example.

"MY point would be more succinctly stated as Nurkic is way fucking better." Wiggy

'Whiteside probably has the better stats, even up PER 36'- Me

"oh Whiteside is the master of empty stats"- Wiggy

Too funny.
Was Whiteside playing garbage time minutes, ends of games?

I didn't think so.

The Top 100 players for
the 2018-19 NBA season

Comments

Post national NBA writer Tim Bontemps surveyed the NBA and ranked his top 100 players according to their overall talent level heading into the new season. Though it’s a new season, players aren’t starting from scratch. We’ve included a trend line to denote whether a player is on the upswing of his career, having jumped five or more spots from last season, starting to decline, having dropped five or more spots from last season, or expected to stay relatively consistent to previous performance by remaining within five spots of where they were last season. See how they stack up.

So. Westbrook 8, Butler 13, Richardson 76.

Yep. Terrible job by Riley if this happens.

S.I. had them Butler 10, Westbrook 7, Richardson 71.

TurnUp, it's why the sad hump always gets Lampooned here...

he relies on manipulation for his arguments, but all anybody ever needs to knock him off his box is the truth...

Man that is an interesting idea with Simmons.

man, the guy's pathetic...

I mean, it's like I said yesterday. with his team's current standing you'd think he'd talk less smack. guess hatred and jealousy rule some people... :D

Dude's literally bragging about how his team's tanking and doing it the right way. It's one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen in sports.

Simmons makes $30M less this year and he is 7 years younger. Simmons is overrated and has yet to establish a jumpshot but this wouldn't be smart for the 76ers

Losing because of talent on the floor, does not equate to tanking.
There are circumstances where teams make up reasons to sit players, but Cavs played theirs.

Like I hate y'all too, in theory.

But, that doesn't have to completely override my objectivity.

Mcgee exceeded expectations last year.

These are facts.

I was wrong about the guy.

Period.

I didn't have a lot of faith in him either.

I think I had more faith than you that he'd be fine, but I figured that "fine" would mean that he didn't end up being a negative and/or on Shaqtin' A Fool every week. lol

I was pleasantly surprised.

I like what Philly did though, even if Simmons STILL doesn't start shooting jumpshots he has players that fit around him. He can kick it out to Richardson, Harris, even Embiid to shoot. He has options to facilitate but imagine how much better this team or Simmons could be if he shot like he did in practice.

He actually has a nice jumpshot, I really do not get it at all!!
